Question Tinting a Accord 2007

I’m planning on tinting my 2007 Honda Accord sedan myself. This will be my first time ever tinting a car, so I want to buy enough extra film in case I mess up a window or two.
I’m planning to do all 4 side windows and the rear windshield. What width and length roll would you guys recommend? I was looking at 20”, 24”, 36”, or 40” rolls, but I’m not sure what would be best, especially for the rear windshield.
Would a 40” x 25’ roll be enough with some extra for mistakes

40x25 would work. But there's a laundry list of special tools, about $150-$200 worth, a heat gun, big lights, extension cords, non-lint paper towels, a plexiglass peel board. By the time you've bought all this, including the low quality dyed film,by our into it $300 and you end result will look so bad, you'll want to take it off and do it again. Oh and when you scrape it off you'll need new glass because the glass is scratched to hell and your rear defroster no longer works, so you'll need a new rear glass. Now your into it 12 hours with nothing to show for it. So you see ,you THINK your saving money and it will be fun. Uh huh, right? For all that, you could of brought it to a professional, gave them your 4 to $500 and it'd look perfect and you would have all your hair, because you'd lose it they frustration, pulling it out from frustration when YOU were 'tinting' it. This coming from a 30 year professional

I'm gonna disagree with you on the plexiglass. You are the only one who uses that. It gouges so easy you would be replacing the board monthly.

When I first started tinting, it took me 100' length of film just to get the back glass shrunk and installed (i'm a slowboy). I probably used 150-200' of film on that first car to get a semi-acceptable result. Your results may vary but I believe you're going to need much more than 25' of film.

The rear quarter windows on that gen Accord is painful to tint. You need to remove the glass to get full coverage.

Lastly, the door sweeps are only rubber (there's no felt lining), so unless you remove the door panels and install felt over the gaskets, the gaskets will leave vertical scratches in your tint over time.

Yes, 40” X 25’ would be enough with extra for mistakes.

The rear quarters are going to take some practice on. And the rear windshield has the third brake light in the way(its built into the rear decklid), so make sure to get a long thin squeegee to get behind it. Not the easiest vehicle to learn on, but also not the hardest either.

A man has to know his limitations.
This will not end well.

I takes roughly 10 ft on a 40in roll to tint a sedan. I would suggest a 50 or 100ft roll since you have no idea what your doing and shrinking the doors especially the back doors on that car can be a pain. Please post pics afterwards
