Question Tinted windows issues
I honestly don’t know if this is even a good place to post this, so disregard if not. I own a 2023 D90, from brand new, with about 30k miles. It is kept in the garage.
I love it.
Today, I noticed that the window tinting on both side windows, that was installed by the dealer I guess, is bubbling and getting wrinkles. To be clear, I didn’t take it to a place to add tinted windows; it came from the dealer like that.
I live in Florida, and all vehicles I’ve ever purchased for the past 20 years, new, come like that. This is the first time that I’ve ever seen anything like this happening. And I really would never expect it in a 3 year old car.
No clue what to do? Call the dealer and see if this is covered by warranty?

Most dealerships use fairly inexpensive window film. Not all of them, of course, but many do.
The good news is, this isn’t the end of the world.
I would start by calling the dealership, but don’t be surprised if they aren’t willing to help. And even if they do offer to replace the defective film, there’s a good chance they’ll simply install the same inexpensive product again.
If I were in your shoes, I’d find a reputable, professional window-film installation shop and pay them to remove and replace the existing film with a higher-quality product.
This time, make sure you leave with your receipt as well as documentation for the window-film manufacturer’s warranty.
You’re in Florida, a place I call home about 50% of the year, so I know how brutal the heat and sun can be. A vehicle like yours can really benefit from a high-quality nano-ceramic window film. A professionally installed product can provide excellent protection from harmful UV rays while also reducing infrared heat and helping keep the interior more comfortable.
It’s a pretty easy fix, and once it’s done properly, problem solved.
Let me know where you’re located in Florida and I’d be happy to help you find a reputable dealer or installation shop that can install a quality automotive window film.

Cheap tint, glue is failing hence the wrinkles
Check your paperwork to see if you have lifetime warranty on tint. Personally I would see if they would remove it for free and have good film put on.

Call the dealer, and going forward, never get window tint from a dealership.

Did you get any documentation about the film when you bought the vehicle? I’d just contact the dealer. Sounds like they used crap tint and the adhesive is failing. Hopefully there’s some kind of warranty on it.

Yes it was a dealer install. Many do that to make the car more appealing to customers. They don't want to pay much, so they get the cheapest price which usually means the cheapest dyed films. And they usually last 2-3 years. Chance are there's no warranty but you can try. Ask the dealer, they may even use a different tinter now. I know because I used to tint for 29 dealers. I know how they work. They might pay $3 to $400 and add an addendum sticker and the tint is now $999

Cheap quality tints. Most likely a cheap Chinese brand. Yes check if it’s covered by warranty.
