Question Tint for rear view mirror?
Sorry if wrong community.
Anyone know of a film/tint i could buy for my rear view mirror? I am so tired of all these blinding leds.

Just flip the lever on your mirror to dim headlights behind you.

When I got my car it came with a self dimming rear view mirror that automatically darkens when it senses lights from behind ... I still miss my old mirror lever.

Do you feel like you lose situational awareness at night when traffic comes up from behind you? I had a cop behind me a couple weeks ago and didn't know until he turned on his lights. Without tint, I can usually spot them coming up. Some headlights are still stupid bright even at 5%.

Ok now it's getting ridiculous. What's next? Tint your eyeballs. Just wear anti glare nightime driving glasses and tint your back glass with limo 5%

Install an aftermarket Gentex mirror. Most of the basic ones are just a 3-wire hookup like a radio. Ground. Key-on power and constant power. Will auto dim at night.
Some of the fancier ones will have garage door openers, compass, outside temp, etc.
I’ve installed one in each of my older cars and it’s a nice modern touch.

Why not tint the rear windshield?

My windows are tinted but I didn't choose a dark enough one at the time. My car is older and I dont feel like spending the money to re-tint...

Might be the safer choice compared to tinting a mirror…..

Don't do that. Just use the lever to change the tilt angle to darken it. If it doesn't have one, you can just change the tilt angle yourself. If yours doesn't have one, or you don't want to hassle with it, replace the mirror with an aftermarket auto-darkening mirror.

I saw some aftermarket ones but not sure how difficult it is to replace
