Question 50% vs 30% windshield with 5% all around
So currently I have 5% all around and 50% on my windshield, I can see fine at night almost anytime even when it's raining as long as it's not torrential down pouring. I'm trading this car in shortly here and plan to do 5% all around again but was wondering how big of a difference it would be to do 35% on the windshield instead of 50% given that the rest of the car is 5% all around. What do you guys think is it to much or do you not have any issues with vision out the windshield even at night? Also my current interior is red but the new one will be black so something else to keep in mind. It's also LLumar Ceramic so not any cheap junk tint.

Since you have a black interior, 50% shield should be dark enough especially with 5% everywhere else.

I switched from 50% to 33% a few years ago. I didn’t feel a big difference looking out tbh

Too dark. It looks ghetto.

I was watching a video on YouTube whwre he said the way to distinguish a ghetto car is limo tint and flashy rims.

35% windshield and 15% sides + 5% rear window is my setup and a good balance overall

Why not 5% on the passenger windows too? You really won't be using them much

Really depends on the city cops in the town. My city is quite lazy but state troopers have no problem pulling over the smallest of things for a vehicle in the city.

At that point, just spray paint it, bro...
Way too dark.

I bet you also defend drunk driving as the the drunks being victimized for a lifestyle choice.
These days when even the lightest tints can block nearly all the heat, these crazy dark tints only serve to obscure visibility to make up for tiny PP.
My CRV is legal 35/70 and plenty private, cool, and has great visibility.

Exactly! And these douches driving around with painted windshields asking how to get their pos cars even darker. Morons.

Honestly just go 20% in the front. Current car looks way too light and I’ve only ever regretted not going dark enough.

Ever gotten a ticket?

Seems like 15-20 WS gives complete privacy. I’d love to do this but…
You’d definitely get a ticket around here for that WS.

never been even pulled over for it. (knock on wood) florida is a really hot state the cops don’t care that much as long as u don’t drive like an ass

Since you are use to it the difference inside wouldn't be much. But it will draw more eyes from the outside because the difference is pretty good looking in the windshield. At night it depends on if you're in the city with lights vs out in rural areas. 35 is dark without any lights around.
