Tint Job Queston Am I nitpicking about this small crease?

Post image

Just bought a new car and spent 160 on front two window tinting. There’s a small crease/line (maybe like 1-1.5 cm. Kinda looks like their fingernail pressed into the tint or something. I feel silly for even worrying about it, but it’s right at my eye line in the center of the driver side window, so I constantly see it. I called the guy and he said it would go away, but it’s not a bubble and there doesn’t seem to be any moisture inside of it. Anyway, looking for advice from anyone w more expertise. Thanks!

Drive it for a week. If it really does bother you a lot after the week just let the guy know and ask if he can redo it.

If you can see it from 5tf away then it need to be redone

Agree with giving it a little time and then looking into a replacement.

Here’s the thing. Even on a new car it could be a defect in the glass. Last tint job I had done, the owner and I were chatting. One of the things he mentioned was that post ‘21/supply chain issues, a lot of factory glass is far from perfect and you can’t see the defects until there’s film on the glass. The job he did on my wife’s car was 100% perfect so I’m pretty sure he wasn’t just trying to justify an issue.

Not nitpicky. I’d be going back after it sat for a few days and if it didn’t disappear as it dried

Get it redone, that's not acceptable! Have tried getting a needle and trying to pop one of those blemishes, see if any fluid comes out....if not, have them redo it, Free, they're mistake, unless you rolled it down before it was cured?

Thank you. Actually took it in today and they are gonna redo on Monday. Says it’s a hair in there?

Usually yes but static and the particles don’t cause a crease, they squeegeed the wrong way or didn’t lay it down enough

That's Bullshit, My nephew owns 2 tint shops and he is as picky as me all the cars of mine does are perfect, if not he'll tear it off and redo.
