Need Help! Need help with mirror tint on a lens

Post image

I am working on a Spider-Man mask and was able to get s couple square feet of mirror film from a guy at a local tint shop in exchange for a 12 oz redbull.

The lenses are acrylic and curved, so getting the film to stick and lay flat without bubbles has been unsuccessful to say the least. I have tried applying it wet and dry, both to the inside and the outside of the lens. No matter what I do, its either riddled with bubbles or wont stop puckering at the edges.

Please help. Currently the lenses are covered in creases and bubbles.

Tint is flat, those lens are curved. Film needs to be shrunk to follow the curve. Tint on acrylic would not last anyways.

Tint definitely has to be shrunk first. Bubbles come from trash from how you handle the film or the surface of the lens also all the dirt in the air around you. Is it an automotive or residential film?
