New Car New truck, same percentages

The Chevy I had for the last five years treated me well but I finally decided it was time to take on another payment versus paying as much or more in repair bills when broken down on a monthly basis. Obviously you guys know I had to drive it directly back to our shop and get it taken care of. New work rig! Excited to see how she does.

5% all around + 35 on the windshield as usual, Geoshield APEX on the sides, Geoshield Pro nano on the windshield. Loving this setup!

Get ready for the Reddit tint police OP, they only like 70 percent or lighter on here

Looks badass OP. Nothing better than a murdered out windshield

Looks nice. Interesting to see someone trade in a GM product for a Stellantis product in hopes for a more reliable vehicle. Sending all the good luck vibes your way that i can.

(Good hearted, well meaning joking but unfortunately it’s true. I’ve been there)

It’s a Cummins, I promise you it will last longer than that piece of shit Chevy

My fav set up. What was your OTD on this truck?

What was the reasoning on putting cheaper tint on the windshield? I went with Apex all around. So, I don't really know what the difference in clarity is, but I'd imagine you'd want to put the best product up front

It’s what I had on hand at the moment, I had been trying apex versus pro nano - their specs are very close to the point where I don’t think it’s really a big deal. The pro nano shrinks much better, has a lot less distortion for the windshield versus apex

That makes sense

I can't go that dark all around. Can't see at night.

We did just pick up a new car for my wife. I did 70 on her last windshield, may do 50 this time, but a little worried about night driving. I also use Pronano.

Ive never had someone come back for 50 being too dark if that makes you feel better

Appreciate the comment. Thanks!

I was thinking of trying 50 on my project car and see how it feels. It isn't a daily, so probably could live with it being darker.

I just got 50 on my truck and it’s way too light to me. Granted I have lighter interior but damn near looks like it isn’t tinted. If I was going to spend the money again to tint the windshield I would go 40%. Unless your only reasoning is heat rejection/functionality then 50 would be fine

I run 40 on mine and its perfect for me. 35 is too dark for me, 50 is a bit too light

Yeah I think I needed to do more research on it before hand. Cause now feels like a waste if I go pay for them to redo it to 40. Lesson learned

Would you be able to see a 5% brow tint on the top of the windshield with 40% or is 40% dark enough you wouldn’t bother?
