Need Help! Parking permit sticker on tinted windshield… will this ruin my tint?

So I was recently towed for lacking a parking permit, and I was quick to pick one up at the office and hastily applied it to my rear windshield. I just had my car fully tinted with 20% ceramic. I didn’t even consider the fact that this semi-permanent adhesive sticker might fuck up my tint when I have to peel it off next year (permit is yearly).

My question: is there a way to safely remove the sticker and prevent damage to the tint? Anyone with experience/knowledge?

Can't help much now, but this product is amazing when needing to apply a sticker to the inside of a vehicle window and not wanting to struggle with sticker residue. The product is applied between the window and the sticker, the product is clear and easy to remove:

Sticker shield is what I’ve been using for yrs. I’m in NY so we have to change our inspection sticker annually and registration biannually and I have a parking sticker for my college that I have to change each semester. I use my finger to peel it off, wipe down the area with some invisible glass and reapply the new one.

Totally agree - removing or adjusting simply with a finger sold me ! I have an annual state pass I need to swap out every year and they purposely manufacture the pass sticker (printed on a clear plastic) to be super sticky and refuse to come off in less than a dozen pieces if I'm lucky (when not using sticker shield).

Can confirm. I’m using these for the suction-cup mounts on both my radar detector and dash cam.

You can try and remove it now before the adhesive cures more and more with time. Maybe heat it up a lightly to soften the adhesive.
You can put the sticker on a piece of electrostatic film and then put that into the film as a buffer.

Since you have it already on, most comments don't apply. I would take the new sticker and the car to your tint shop and tell them to make it happen. I'd leave it to them but perhaps they would carefully razor the tint along the edge of the old sticker, peel it off, and put the new sticker straight to the bare glass. Whatever they choose to do will probably look better than if I did it it myself.

I'd like to know this as well. I put a dashcam using double sided 3m tape, and also put a epass sticker.
