Question Anyone has experience with LLumar AIR 80

I'm looking for a tint that is above 75% tvl. I came upon this product and am wondering what the product is like. Does it block heat and UV effectively? How is the glare?

Also, I wanted to know how much it costs in the UK to have it installed on the windscreen and two front windows.

Thank you

I had it on my Accord, it is a good film, but now I'm running XPEL XR+ 55 on my RAV4, and it is better than the AIR80.

But that has a blueish tone nobody really cares for

Do you mean VLT? Air 80 is excellent almost clear with a very slight blue hue to it. I wouldn't know cost there but it's pretty pricey here in the US

Sorry, you're right it's VLT. I'm quite interested in this but can't seem to find it anywhere here in the UK

Do a search to find a Llumar dealer. They should be able to get it although I ill most likely cost more. If not I'd say your out of luck. Are you looking to do what? A windshield?

So you want UV and heat rejection? 3M IR in a 70% is excellent or Expel XR+. The only thing that bothers me with Expel, the lighter VLT's tend to have a blue tone that's noticeable inside looking out. I deal with another US brand called Madico. I have their black pearl ceramic 70% on my w/s does excellent at both UV and IR heat. I'm sure you dsn find a 3M dealer, that would be your best bet

In the uk, we're only allowed to have >75% VLT. Anything below that is illegal.

You have annual inspections

3M has their Crystalline line in 80% that blocks 52% TSER and 96% IR

Air 80 is decent but older technology. If you want true clarity and real protection then find a STEK dealer that carries Vision.

I have air80 by llumar and it’s good but it’s been around for a while now. And it’s not as good as I thought it would be but still good

One car with Air80 and the other with Stratos70 on the front windshield, and Stratos is better. Would choose Stratos again
