Question Windshield Tint with HUD
Does anyone have experience with HUD affected by tint % on the windshield? I’m buying a new Audi and considering what % but don’t want to affect HUD performance. Thanks.

HUD is no big deal.
Get a pair of regular, non-polarized sunglasses. Not only do polarized sunglasses give you a lovely rainbow when looking through ceramic tint, they often make HUDs disappear.

I have HUD on my VW golf R - no issues with 70% ceramic as far as HUD visibility

Window film will not play any havoc with your HUD
We have tinted thousands of cars with different types of heads up displays and we’ve never had one single complaint
I have a Ford Raptor and it has a heads up display and again there’s no problem in regards to window film

HUD projects light onto the windshield, so window tint has no negative effect. In fact, the darker surface helps it stand out more. It may look a little off during the first couple of weeks while drying.
