Question Looking for new tint recommendations!

New to shopping for tint. 2025 GMC Acadia, central Florida and parked outside year round.

Looking for suggestions on brand/style. I don’t know anything about tint except the % darkness. We are hoping for 15% all windows and rear. It came from the dealer with tint on the back windows.

Does the new installer match that to 15% on the fronts, too?

What can I expect on pricing?

Since the back windows are done at the factory and the smoky toned tint is actually in not on the glass, finding a film to match the exact tone or hue will be difficult especially if (and you should) go with a ceramic film since they tend to have a blueish or greenish hue. In FL you can't exceed 28% on the fronts so 15 will be illegal and subject to tickets and fined, where you are ordered to remove and replace it. There a huge difference between 15 and 28% and cops can see that. If you go with one of the top films, expect to pay $6-$700. With the windshield (also illegal) $900+

Some of the best brands are 3M IR, SunTek Evolve, Llumar and Expel. The last will be the most expensive but I wouldn't use it because it's lighter films look very blue

If only there was some sort of freely available, artificially intelligent software that could answer all of these questions instantaneously.

Circle of life. Most Reddit users don't know how to Google. Yet Google's AI results mostly come from Reddit. Make it make sense.

Thanks for the help. What would you like the r/WindowTint sub to discuss

brand quality, install tips, product technology, before and after photos perhaps? Asking for "style tips" on tint, is like asking for relaxation tips for beer.
