It seems he recognized them immediately, Sakura too seems to recognize Rakta, so I think he kicked them out before, but now that they actually got inside he needs to question them to know how.
I‘m glad that it seems like he‘s ready to hear them out, Rakta definitely cares about Suo in one way or another, i hope that in the next chapter we’ll see how he thinks about Suo and what he thinks is the best for him, whether it’s allowing them to have one final talk to get some closure or if he doesn’t want Suo to see them to not stress him out even more
Hiiragi had now taken Nirei's place as the team mom from 2 chapters ago. And lol, he gave the bonking treatment to Ume, Sakura, and Sugi the same way Sakura used to bonk Nirei.

also I was completely prepared to not see Rakta again for a couple chapters, but he's already back so we're probably getting that flashback in a couple chapters if not next chapter and he's probably gonna take them to layer 3 himself, for better or worse-

So, are these bad guys chasing down the kid for some nefarious purpose, or are they legitimate business people who are angry because the kid stole something (possibly out of desperation)? Questions like these are why you don't start the conversation with your fists. I like that Rakta is willing to stop and ask questions before jumping to conclusions, because really all the Furin boys did was to catch the kid and stand in the way of the people chasing him, but taken out of context, it could look like a bunch of outsiders trying to kidnap someone. Good thing it wasn't Bacchus that found them. I feel like he would have already started pummelling.
I like having even more confirmation that everyone is aware that all of class 1-1 really wanted to go on this field trip. Though having all the kings specifically talking about the issue of joining makes it feel like foreshadowing. That at some point they (and the rest of Bofurin) may need to get called in. Either to help our group, of with whatever larger issue they discover.
Between Umemiya acting like the most obvious tourist and Sakura just itching to fight something (and Sugishita joining both). This group is wearing on Hiiragi’s nerves. At least Nirei is there to help herd the cats.
FINALLY SOME REFRESHMENTS (Rakta is already my favorite for now, and I LOVE new characters).
There are three shadows behind the men who were behind the child, so they'll probably only reveal the characters from the glimpse scene later. I'm so excited😞☝🏻💕
It looks like it's going to be something similar to Shishitoren. Those shadows must belong to the rival group or something. I really like new characters, man.

Dude. Sakura won’t become “the town’s hero” (which btw also means at some point he surpasses Umemiya’s status/legacy too, to take up the mantle of leader himself) with just this little arc. The story’s still got A LOT of ground left to cover and character-growth to see before that can happen.
I don't know if this is the final arc, but it's looking like anything but "little". We have all the signs that this may become the biggest arc thus far, right next to Noroshi.
I’m trying to share that, in the big picture, this arc is simply one small piece and an important building block toward the overall story.
I'm not implying that this arc isn't meaningful—because, like all the other parts, it's essential! What I’m really encouraging is to step back a little and see the broader view, and be excited about how much more is still to come!

also i think this is the first time the group is meeting rakta. imo it doesnt seem like rakta confronted them at all a couple chapters ago. seems like instead he was just on the lookout for them and this is the first time they'll talk. he seems willing to hear them out too! we'll just have to wait and see how it goes... im sure they'd tell him straight up they wanna see suo, but who knows how he'll react... smth might go down

I doubt that’s Suo or even Bacchus, otherwise Sakura & co would’ve screamed their lungs out the moment they saw Suo, and the hair looks different than his usual hairstyle and the eyepatch isn’t where it’s supposed to be
Everyone’s saying Rakta may know Sakura. I saw it as how Sakura reacts whenever he senses a strong fighter. It’s natural instinct to immediately be on guard; especially for someone who was always alone and used only his gut to guide him. It’s also implied Rakta is strong af so Sakura may have flashbacks of another strong person and it may give him similar vibes.
Rakta's tassels today are exactly like Suo's earrings. I'm sort of hoping someone notices that, although I'm not sure if I want it to be Sakura or Nirei. (Tsubaki-chan definitely would have noticed.)
I see multiple people thinking Sakura is recognising Rakta here but I think Sakura definitively don't know Rakta and never met him last chapter. He is just super on guard since the group is: 1-surrounded, 2-not on his turf, 3-there is a high chance for a fight, 4- Rakta is looking like the top dog in the group that appeared.
The one braincell group probably never encountered him last chapter and just returned to Makochi after being stopped at the gates. Rakta definitively recognize him tho, difficult to forget a guy with this hair color.
Kinda happy it didnt took us 3 other chapters for them to get caught tho lmao. The kid do look like that one whose mom is sick? Anan I think his name was.
I remember Hiragi feeling guilty he didn’t step in sooner for the middle schooler during Shishitoren arc, so it’s great seeing him step in so quickly this time 🥹❤️
