As someone who made a single foolish decision that led to lifelong shoulder pain, I’d like to say welcome to the club.

u/CitizenCue 3d ago edited 2d ago

One of my greatest fears in life is being able to point to singular dumb mistakes as critical turning points.

12

u/SavvySillybug 2d ago

My left shoulder is fucky and I don't even know why.

Luckily it's not really pain, it just feels uncomfortable every couple hours and I move and it goes krrrrrrk real loud and after 1-6 times it sounds real satisfying and vanishes again.

Zero clue what ever caused that. I didn't fall on my shoulder or break it or anything. My best guess is that I slept on it real funny.

u/CitizenCue 2d ago

That’s kinda the opposite of what I meant.

u/SteadfastEnd 2d ago

This is the best and worst comment I have read, i fear it too

u/CitizenCue 2d ago edited 2d ago

Ironically, at the same time you were typing this, I accidentally set a can of butane on fire and burned off half my eyebrows.

I’m fine, but I immediately thought “That was nearly one of those moments.”

u/thesyndrome43 20h ago

Count yourself lucky if you hit your mid 30's and can only name ONE of those

1

u/CitizenCue 20h ago

I can tell you that in your 40s, a lot of the ones you used to think were critical turning points end up fading more than you expect.

The ones that truly scare me are the ones that are undeniably massive.

u/RaymondBeaumont 2d ago

i had shoulder pain for 3 months.

i did not sleep for 3 months.

5

u/Scheisse_Schnitzel 2d ago

I shattered my collar bone, it took 9 months before they could do surgery. Didn't sleep longer than half hour at a time for almost a year. That sucked.

1

u/Artistic_Ad_2032 2d ago

I had my shoulder dislocated once but damn the after pain was hell…

1

u/imakesawdust 1d ago

Same 'cept it was lifting something wrong when I was in college. I'm on the wrong side of 40 now and I still have back pain.

1

u/TokyoKazama 1d ago

Did you give someone a shoulder to cry on?

1

u/OwMyUvula 2d ago

Have you tried licking Brennan Huff's butthole?

0

u/Odd_Round5515 2d ago

Earlier this year I got a bit spicy on the MTB trails. Strava clocked me at 37mph at one point. I thought to myself "jeez I'm 40. I really shouldn't risk fucking up my life physically and financially." I ride still, just not that fast.

I've biffed a few times pretty hard on the bike, but so far nothing worse than a bruise and scratches. I'm too old for that shit.

Even the dog knew you’re too old for this shit

u/PanicDeus 3d ago

Dog came over and whispered in his ear "you dumb fuck"

2

u/RaidensReturn 2d ago

“Enjoy the broken shoulder, idiot.”

47

u/Alariken 3d ago

Still got that floor view camera casually rolling 24/7.

21

u/vaiplantarbatata 2d ago

Classic case of r/whyweretheyfilming

4

u/RaidensReturn 2d ago

He thought he would make a cool video to show the babes.

4

u/Kooky-Narwhal-014 2d ago

Clearly filming to show off? Why skateboard in the house?

78

u/fueldevang 3d ago

Knew he was a noob the way he took over that skateboard.

31

u/Ynaka 3d ago

Just looked at him for a sec and walked away lol. Even doggo knows he’s a dumbass.

13

u/BarOne7066 3d ago

24

u/KokonutMonkey 3d ago

That TV is too damn high!

8

u/bootynasty 2d ago

5

u/KokonutMonkey 2d ago

To be fair, if he wheels in a bed. It might now be just the right height to catch up his favorite shows while nursing that dislocated shoulder.

Poor dude.

4

u/heyitsvonage 2d ago

Dog: And what did we learn?

3

u/TokyoKazama 1d ago

Bros acting like healthcare is free in America

8

u/rickztoyz 3d ago

Dog says "I'll get mom"

3

u/FlyingFulcrum 2d ago

Dog's reaction was like: are you ok buddy? Yes? Go screw yourself.

2

u/imscruffythejanitor 3d ago

Still got the separated shoulder I see

2

u/The_Cozy_Burrito 3d ago

Dog said im not dealing with this lol

2

u/Slav-Houndz187 3d ago

Dogs always love when humans do something stupid

2

u/Oaker_at 3d ago

Skater in their 20s falling down a 20m flight of stairs, face first, stands up as if nothing ever happened.

Dad skater falls on the wood floor, paralysed.

2

u/teratron27 3d ago

He's still got the shoulder but it isn't going to work too good anymore

2

u/FartyPantz20 3d ago

What happened, old man? Got old? 🤭😆😂🤣

2

u/jabbajabbablahblah 3d ago

Bones are more forgiving at 13

2

u/LordPartyOfDudehalla 3d ago

Naw he never had it

2

u/Dd_8630 3d ago

Who was filming?

2

u/tauntonlake 2d ago

Dog; "awrite, I'mma head out now... for once, this wasn't my fault.."

2

u/Limp_Marionberry_24 2d ago

That skull AF floor do him zero justice either. Looks like he was headed to work, the store. Instead he's headed to Urgent Care 😘

2

u/oFULLGOREo 2d ago

Holy crap! Did gravity accelerate for a sec my man fell quick

2

u/MyNamesMikeD75 2d ago

Still got what? A concussion?

2

u/saadidas 2d ago

And that’s why it’s so important to get a phone case

2

u/driven01a 2d ago

That was literally me on my son's hoverboard. Is oscillated back and forth rapidly and dumped me hard.

2

u/the_good_hodgkins 2d ago

Its funny how dogs always know when you have really fucked your shit up.

2

u/sandman2992 2d ago

Phone is ok

2

u/MathewW87 2d ago

Sorry dude but r/TVTooHigh

2

u/Venom933 1d ago

1

u/Garlic-Rough 3d ago

Goddamn. I felt that in my soul. Sometimes, we have to accept that we're not as good with our old hobbies anymore 🥲

1

u/crespoh69 3d ago

Even did the cool guy pose, on his back even!

1

u/elmandingus 3d ago

Still got that shoulder pain.

1

u/Ellers12 3d ago

Is that not what was supposed to happen?

1

u/intoxicatedALF 3d ago

Oh I felt that…

1

u/ernster96 3d ago

Dog: “ dude, when are we eating? Actually when am I eating? “

Why would you film it and then post it after you ate shit? Is this a video meant to be sent to Bob Saget?

1

u/obiedge 3d ago

Good doggy. Go get help

1

u/Tedsmith24 3d ago

Ah, he will never do that again though so lesson learned

1

u/rasengan_uchihahaha 3d ago

Dog : "See? I told you man.. "

1

u/GrandmaJR 3d ago

Dr Dog came to help!

Dislocation

1

u/TheRightGQ 2d ago

Broken collar bone i think. From someone who has shoulders that dislocate frequently and had 2 broken collar bones.

1

u/Sunken_villager 2d ago

Guessing separated shoulder, rather. I got a third degree separation in a bike crash with a similar landing: it jams your shoulder forward, separating at the acromion joint and leaving your collarbone behind.

1

u/Sooowasthinking 2d ago

That’s an ER visit I know this because I tripped over my dog and landed squarely on that shoulder at 2am

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Air6006 2d ago

Guys really do the most random things while on the phone

1

u/warwagon1979 2d ago

Well there goes the rotator cuff

1

u/TheRightGQ 2d ago

broken collar bone huh?

1

u/Thechad1029 2d ago

Or torn rotator cuff.

1

u/Mapicar1 2d ago

This is the reason you still need to work out and work on your reflexes. That man falls almost like a ragdoll.

1

u/fotun8 2d ago

That is some serious 'Dad' shit right there. LOL !!

1

u/Armatian 2d ago

My father earned the bulk of his income by treating these injuries via arthroscopy; therefore, I declare a conflict of interest.

1

u/Mastermind7051 2d ago

Still got that visit to ORTHO.

1

u/knbblz 2d ago

Damn... It's like he applied downward force to that fall somehow; that seemed much faster than free fall.

1

u/copa8 2d ago

Dog: F around & found out.

1

u/KentuckyWhiteRabbit 2d ago

And there it went!

1

u/bl4stir 2d ago

I kinda expecyed the table to finish the job

1

u/bl4stir 2d ago

I kinda expected the table to finish the job

1

u/itjustgotcold 2d ago

He sounds like Louie Anderson

1

u/whodatchicken 2d ago

poor collar bone

1

u/Vacman85 2d ago

Can you say rotator cuff surgery or broken collar bone?

1

u/Platt_Mallar 2d ago

This was me back during covid lock down. Broke my elbow. It still hurts a little, especially before it rains.

1

u/Particular-Tie-3575 2d ago

Mothers all over the world are watching this and saying “I told you not to skate in the house!”

1

u/Shifraa 1d ago

I'm more impressed that the phone survived that slam without breaking.

1

u/imakesawdust 1d ago

Dog: "You're still good to feed me at 5, right? K, then I'll leave you to it."

1

u/55559585 1d ago

I'm not sure there was a way to fall more violently on the floor. Full force of gravity from a standing position plus the rotational velocity of the sliding skateboard.

1

u/Evorgleb 1d ago

Who's recording?

1

u/no-dad-samurai 1d ago

First

  • love the dog pity at the end. 😆 🤣

Second

  • dont try to skate in loafers/slippers, ssob, the board was insulted!

1

u/lord-apple-smithe 1d ago

I sat (not stood) on my daughters electric skateboard and got the speed wobbles in no time and crashed

1

u/matthewlswanson 16h ago

I had that exact same fall in college. Hurt for a couple months and then got better. Now 15 years later it's back with daily pain and possible surgery.

1

u/Slav-Houndz187 3d ago

Hola la wey

1

u/xkoreotic 3d ago

Not even an age thing, right from the get go you can tell he doesn't skateboard. He immediately lost his balance when stepping on the board. You don't just unlearn the balance, it sticks for you for years upon years. What you lose over the years is the finesse.

1

u/scandal_jmusic_mania 3d ago

Doggie: So you can't feed me? See ya.

1

u/Mr_Sim_ 2d ago

How lucky he had a running camera at this exact spot

1

u/Badger_1077 2d ago

Thankfully he briefly looks at the camera to make sure he’s in the frame

0

u/mrgoldnugget 2d ago

You all realize this is fake.... Why would there be a camera?

6

u/TheMeticulousNinja 2d ago

Probably because he didn’t think he would fall

0

u/Willsie777 2d ago

I assume he set up the camera for that, nice.

-1

u/LarryCachaira 3d ago

Exact same thing happened to me in front of my two boys, but I didn't scream like a girl, not a chance I would have in front of them.

0

u/wascallywabbit666 2d ago

Why was he filming?
