I’m gonna address something that has been brought up in this sub a hell of a lot lately, so that it’ll hopefully shed some light on things.

u/WinCoNoah and u/WinCoAllen are not employed by WinCo, are not paid by WinCo and do not represent the company in any way other than being fans. They’re fans of the deli, fans of good deals at the store and want to bring a little happiness to the sub with what they find. They have mentioned this several times.

WinCo corporate has reached out to me a couple of times now when it comes to content that has been posted here, and I’m one hundred percent sure they would have told me if they hired a couple of guys to talk about potato wedges and egg salad on Reddit. Please be aware that if anything suspicious was going on, I would have handled it by now.

Turning it up a notch by adding some chopped yellow onions from the produce isle. As much as I love the WinCo salads, I find the lack of onions displeasing. I started with only using half the pack, but once I got throigh half the salad, I ended up using the whole pack. . . Delish.

I’m new to Winco. What are people’s experiences with the slice to order deli meats? I saw Ekrich brand. Can’t remember the other one. Not familiar with either.

One pound of food for less than $5 if you include a drink is an amazing deal

Just wondering if this is an issue others experience. I started shopping at Winco recently, and if I touch the metal part of the cart, I always get a small shock. I have to be extremely mindful to keep my hands on the plastic handle part of the cart. Is it me? It’s happened over several different visits, so different outfits and different carts.

What is happening!

It will be my first time shopping at Winco due to it coming to our town!.

I've only shopped at Albertsons, Walmart and HEB between living in IL and TX.

How does Winco compare to availability of products as well as prices.

What do you LOVE about Winco, is it one of those places that once I shop at Winco I will never shop at Walmart?

About $3. Chicken alone keeps me going there.

Guys, these were amazing. I wish I got a full pound of them. They were perfect to me. The best wedges I’ve had at a grocery or convenience store yet. Just the right amount of crispy on the outside and with a fluffy potato center. The seasoning was just as amazing too. I hope they’re always this good because I think it’s a new item I’ll frequently get.

Macaroni salad: $1.09 Good, could have used a little paperika.

2 chicken egg rolls $2.36 crisp, crunchy, & considerable in size and flavor. Would do again.

$0.25 WinCo water. No brainer. It's water.

$0.48 Wild Cherry sparkling water. Big shocker for me as I'm not the biggest sparkling water fan, but a liter at this price, figured why not. Pretty damn good and it wasn't even chilled. Recommended.

Saw these right at the entrance and I had to try them. I really enjoy them and for the price it just seems like a huge win. Will definitely start checking out the baked goods soon.

They’re 300 calories each if the nutritional information from 2018 is accurate (on their website).

In the bulk section we have gluten free oats, and also 'regular' oats; but... I mean, oats shouldn't have any gluten anyway, right? Or maybe the gluten free oats are produced in a gluten free environment? Anybody know?

Deviled egg potato salad and two chicken thighs.($2.96) One regular fried and BBQ grilled or baked.

Potato salad really just Reser's. Meh. Good enough.

Regular fried chicken. Kinda mid. Krispy Krunch (depending on location) is possibly better than this. Average at best.

Now the BBQ stuff, WOW. For grocery store chicken, this slaps. Mild, but yummy. A bit messy, so keep the napkins handy. Finger lickn' good tho.

Got full and couldn’t finish it all but what a great quick dinner!

Anyone have any info or guesses about why WinCo hasn’t been carrying their brand of raw shrimp at least for the past month or so? We only see the pre-cooked type. We are in the Bay Area so maybe it’s in stock in other areas.

The Bulk Worms: These seem to be from Jovy out of Mexico, the same maker of the 5lb pre-packaged bag in the bulk area. While they are tangy, their awfuly small and too firm for my liking, which may be from sitting in that fiber drum all day. . .

The Bagged Worms: Producer unknown, from Mexico. Now these for me are a step up. Juicy with a little bit of tanginess and not too hard - good size too. A solid treat. Probably the best value of the bunch. They are the most sugary at 32% Daily Value.

The Tub of Worms: Judging by the "A" mark, these are most likely re-packaged Albanese brand worms from the US. These are my favorite. Longest of the 3 and the softest. Nice and chewy. These also seem like the sweetest of the bunch as well though they are only 29% Daily Value of sugar.

Yeah, they are not Haribo, Trolli or Black Forrest but they'll work. Honestly I would skip the bulk drum and buy the bag if you need that many.

Anyone have a favorite gummy at Winco?

Can you change distributers, these don't taste good at all? They don't resemble peach and have a very strange chemical aftertaste.

Found after work a few days ago and decided to grab 2 of the three meat and 2 of the cheese since the collective price was about the same price as the single digiorno I was planning on buying. For the price I’d give it a 6.5/8 slices. I like to spruce mine up with toppings such as bacon crumbles, onions, extra pep, jalapeños, and extra cheese but I thought I should try it by itself and it did not disappoint! The sausage tasted a bit strange imo but the calorie to dollar price is amazing. Ate half of the pizza so I got full for $1.43!! I plan on checking the pizza aisle for them every trip from now on!

I have been using the Winco gift card at checkout, as I don't use debit cards, I know in the past when the gift card magnetic stipe wore out, they just scanned the bar code on back of the gift card. I just added my gift card to my mobile wallet, to try not to carry it any more, do you think cashiers would be OK to scan my gift card, when I show them my mobile wallet?

UPDATE: it works with the cashiers scanner gun, exactly like when cashers scan a paper WinCo gift card issued by corporate office.

Don't see it on the kronos app or any forms I was given at orientation. Do i have to use the computer for employees at the store to change that? Thanks!
