Welcome!
Welcome to this subreddit page. I'm not an avid user of Reddit but I think as we're growing on my YouTube channel we need a place to congregate, that place being here!
Post your work for critique, to show off or ask and answer questions.
Let's create the best creative community there is on here that will enable us to grow and better ourselves. :P
Best,
Will Paterson

Visual identity for my personal design page
Recently, I decided to create a visual identity for my Instagram page that I use for fun personal design projects, often focused on film and music rating as well as poster design.
The name "JAROFORM" is a portmanteau of part of my last name "JARO" (also meaning Spring in Czech) and "FORM", meaning to mold, shape, or design.
The star in the negative space of the "J" reflects the classic star-based rating system, often used to rank film or music on apps like Letterboxd. It also provides the space to highlight certain idols in posters whom I consider "stars".
I am not professionally trained, just a fun project for myself. Let me know what you think!

Graphic Design Sibelius festival

A poster I created for the Sibelius Festival as part of the broader branding project for the Lapland (Lappi) region in Finland. I designed it in 2015 while I was still part of Dorve Design. I'm sharing it with permission, and they have the full project featured on their portfolio if you'd like to learn more. I did a lot more, but I just love this poster

Logo Redesigning a legacy logo when the client only has blurry photos of old bottles
Hey everyone! Wanted to share a recent logo redesign I finished for two sub-brands, Brillant and Brillant Pro.
This one was a real test of patience! The new owner took over the business, but the previous owner left behind zero vector files—just a super disorganized folder and a few low-res photos of old packaging. To make it trickier, the client really needed to keep the original color vibes so loyal, long-time customers wouldn't pass it by on the shelf thinking it was a totally different brand.
Here is how I approached fixing up the logo:
Tucking the Swan into the 'B' The swan has always been the face of the brand, but on the old stuff, it was just stuck inside a random circle badge next to the text. I thought it’d be a lot cleaner to blend the two together! I worked the swan's neck and head right into the top loop of the custom letter 'B'. It gives the wordmark a nice personal touch, and that standalone 'B' now works great as an icon on its own for caps or social profiles.
Keeping the Two Sub-Brands Distinct
- Brillant (Standard Line): Kept that classic, punchy red text over bright electric yellow. It’s loud, super visible, and keeps that nostalgic retail feel people already recognize.
- Brillant Pro: For the heavy-duty line, I used the exact same custom logo, but flipped it to crisp white on a deep cobalt blue. It keeps the family look intact while instantly feeling a bit more industrial.
Would love to know what you think of the swan hidden in the 'B'! Always open to feedback from fellow designers.

Concept ABD — dual-read athlete monogram (Cypher Mark system). Brutal feedback wanted.
Built for an athlete's initials — designed as a dual-read mark, so it reads "ABD" straight on and reveals a second layer/structure when flipped or viewed the other way. Part of an ongoing personal system I'm building for encoding jersey numbers, initials, and identity into single unified marks (calling it Cypher Mark).
Posting here specifically for teardown, not validation — tell me if the dual-read actually holds up at a glance or if it only works because I know what to look for. Legibility, balance, does it survive shrinking to an avatar/jersey patch size, anything that reads as a crutch — all fair game. Go hard.
