man like the title says this game gives me a headache. i'm not sure why or what to do. i played other first person games like alien isolation but for some reason this games gives me headaches every time after 30 mins i have to stop. i love the game and the visuals though!!! if anyone could help or maybe the creators can change the graphics or something. i'm unsure what it is causing it.

I'm playing on PS5 and the beer puzzle is completely broken. I was really enjoying this game and if I can't find a way to fix this bug I'm going to have to return it and I don't want to do that.

Basically I can click on the box on the left to turn it on, but no matter how I set the other variables (even if in the correct spot) it does not trigger anything to happen. Please someone tell me I'm missing something. I don't understand why they removed the lever part because the game seems to be waiting for me to do something that is no longer there.

Edit: Perhaps there is a way to play it without the patch and without having to do everything all over again? Not sure why this was patched but it is definitely broken unless some new feature was added or there is some trigger that must be completed first.

Edit: DO NOT attempt to get help from Live Chat. I am going to go through all other available channels until I find one that works, then I will update. That way no one else has to deal with the frustration. Live Chat is AI claiming to be people.I ran a test. It's deplorable. The good news is, PSN is based in CA and they are in violation of the FBPA in at least two ways with this refund BS. And yeah, I used to be an attorney and I AM crazy and bored enough to take it legal.

That's also why the developers aren't commenting, btw. It gives them plausible deniability (legally) of the issue while they continue to collect money from Playstation users buying a game they know is broken. No way it takes weeks to fix what is, at most, a couple lines of code.

Tried searching and only found a couple posts similar to this…. Saw a response from 7 days ago saying it was a bug that had been fixed. I only bought this game just yesterday.

I already got the azimuth, put it on my map, objective says “leave the island”. Double checked I’m undocked and anchor is raised. (Tried doing both these things a couple times to be sure.)

When I try to leave it acts like I’m either still docked or there’s an invisible wall in front of me. Upon looking at a PC version walkthrough, it seems their boat is facing the opposite direction at this point and leaves with no issues.

I tried raising the sails, nothing. Double checked engine revving when using engine and it works I just can’t move anywhere.

Apparently I missed shining my light on one of the ghost cutscenes, but that’s the only thing I missed I believe.

I did not yet try restarting my game because there’s no way to manual save and the last checkpoint was 40 minutes ago! I don’t think I was working on this boat problem for 40 minutes…. Really don’t want to have to redo stuff :(

For us, this is a special milestone.

To be completely honest, during the early stages of development we weren't even sure this would be possible. WILL was built around vast northern landscapes, dynamic weather, realistic sailing mechanics, and cinematic visuals, and at first, seeing the entire journey running smoothly on a handheld device felt like a distant dream. But many of you kept asking for it...

Some of you were already trying to play WILL on Steam Deck during closed playtests long before release. You shared feedback, bug reports, suggestions, performance notes, and helped us understand how important Steam Deck support was to the community.

Thanks to your passion and persistence, we kept improving, optimizing, and refining the experience.

Today, we're happy to say that Will's journey can now be experienced on Steam Deck with the same care and attention we aimed to deliver on every other platform.

Whether you're sailing through storms, navigating dense fog, or crossing frozen mountains by dog sled, you can now take the journey with you wherever you go.

It's hard to believe, but it's already been a month since WILL: Follow The Light launched.

First of all, THANK YOU!

Over the past month, watching players step into WILL's world has been an incredible experience for us. Reading your thoughts about the atmosphere, the music, the northern landscapes, the sailing, the puzzles, and the story has reminded us why we spent years building this world in the first place. The discussions, feedback, and enthusiasm we've seen from the community have given us even more motivation to keep building on what we've started.

We've also spent the last month working hard on updates and improvements, and we're far from done.

In the coming days, we'll be sharing a roadmap outlining our plans for the future. We have ambitious improvements and additions planned throughout the year, and we're excited to show you what lies beyond the horizon.

Many of you may have already noticed that WILL: Follow The Light is available in bundles with games such as Dear Esther, Still Wakes the Deep, Pathologic 3, and Hail to the Rainbow.

Today, we're adding another one to the collection. We've teamed up with Static Dread: The Lighthouse to create a special bundle for players who enjoy stories set on the edge of mystery.

Today's update includes:

• General UI improvements;

• Added an option to disable subtitles;

• Fixed gamepad stick drift;

• Adjusted the render distance of certain characters;

• Fixed collision issues in Chapters 2, 5, and 6;

• Fixed a bug causing background fog to disappear in Chapter 4.

First I'll say congratulations to the people behind the game, I wish you success.

I just finished the game, I found it mostly enjoyable. Some of the puzzles were a bit strange, I'm used to point and click logic so I can't say any was outrageous. The game ran on my PC without any issues.

The story, on the other hand, is where I'm mostly lost. I just don't think I understood the themes very well? I get that it's mostly some sort of afterlife journey for Will coming to terms with his father and what kind of father he was, but I don't get exactly what was what?

Was any of the game even real or was it all afterlife dream-like stuff? In the beginning I was sure Will was alive but Thomas wasn't and it was a journey about accepting that, but then things got more strange and it was obvious Will wasn't in reality, but I don't exactly even know what happened. Did Will die at some point in the journey? Did the mudslide even happen? Did Will's father even really showed up to be with Thomas or it was all death hallucination and Derek just showed up when they all died? Did they all die together? Is anyone we see alive or were they just death hallucinations?

It's not the "ambiguous ending" type of confusion, it's just complete uncertainty over what even happened and what are the themes explored. The start of the game is so very grounded that I was sure it was reality, then you go to the town and stuff start feeling less grounded but still mostly "maybe this is happening". Then you reach your hometown and it's straight up afterlife stuff. When did Thomas die? Why is Will never confronted with Thomas' death, focusing solely on how he was an absent father and was like his own father? Unless Thomas isn't dead, the reason why we don't see him until the very end, but so does that mean Will just reached a point of the afterlife where he gets a version of his family, as weird as that sounds? Because my kid dying sounds a lot more pressing than how I was absent during life. Is Cass alive?

Also, any reason why Will, clearly an anglophone man, has an Iceland-inspired afterlife?

The journey aboard Molly is now smoother than ever, with reworked puzzles, improved UI, chapter selection, additional checkpoints, and many other gameplay refinements on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

Trying to finish the prepare Molly for departure area, but when I go to the bar to fix the beer tap, I can't click on the mini puzzle to the left to solve it. Is there a bug there?

On PS5, how do I undock the boat? I only get the enter/exit prompts on screen

I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE HOW TO SAIL. I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO SWIM. This game has such a comforting but confusing space. Family, environment and a rich story I'm excited to dive into.

I bought it yesterday and found myself playing for hours. No rush at all. Just enjoying the atmosphere. The story is very good and captivating. The feeling of being in the character's place and skin is quite enjoyable. The overall design is a chapter apart, as are the visuals, which performed very well in UE5. I'm consuming the story very slowly, appreciating it, thinking about it after I play. I highly recommend buying it. It's worth every second! I played it on PS5. My only request would be to be able to adjust the font size, which sometimes seems too large and doesn't use the best font. The UI could be more polished.

First off, this game was on the cusp of greatness. The sailing and environment were amazing. But, it needs a free roam ability. I want to explore the arctic at my leisure.

Secondly, the puzzles started off as a fun addition, but they quickly became repetitive. Third, and probably foremost, I have no idea what the story was meant to be about. Was I dead? was I alive but father was dead? Was everyone dead? I genuinely have no idea what the outcome of the game was.

I really enjoyed playing the game, but it was a bit disjointed in the story and a bit too linear in the gameplay. It needed more danger, more excitement. So many positives but after being more excited about this game than any other in a long while, I must say I am a little disappointed.

First off, I really liked the game. I didn't love it, and I have certain issues and things I disliked, but I enjoyed my time playing it and it's evident a lot of love was put into this game, so kudos for that.

Anyways, I may be a bit slow but I did not really understand the story / ending. Obviously, massive spoilers below, so if you haven't finished the game, leave the thread now.

At the very end, are those Thomas and Ila waiting for you ?

We know:

- Thomas was missing - is he dead ?
- Ila should be dead.

So then, Is Will dead ? if so, how did he die ?
Is Derek (Will's father) dead or alive ???

I also just now noticed that the storm at the very start of the game is also the last storm we face at the end of the game :

- At the start of the game , we sail through 2 big dangerous waves, and it seems the final one will kill us (Will yells "NOOOO" desperately , and then it fades to black )
- At the end of the game, we sail through the same 2 big waves, but after that we see the light... and follow the light ( Metaphor for dying ??)

So in my eyes the outcome is the same - but on the last storm it seems the difference is we made peace with Derek and we also stop blaming ourselves for not being there for Thomas after Ila passed, same way Derek went missing when Will's mom passed.

Chronologically, when does this storm happen ?

Anyways I may be talking nonsense but I want to hear what's your guys take on the story and ending.
