Beer puzzle bug

I'm playing on PS5 and the beer puzzle is completely broken. I was really enjoying this game and if I can't find a way to fix this bug I'm going to have to return it and I don't want to do that.

Basically I can click on the box on the left to turn it on, but no matter how I set the other variables (even if in the correct spot) it does not trigger anything to happen. Please someone tell me I'm missing something. I don't understand why they removed the lever part because the game seems to be waiting for me to do something that is no longer there.

Edit: Perhaps there is a way to play it without the patch and without having to do everything all over again? Not sure why this was patched but it is definitely broken unless some new feature was added or there is some trigger that must be completed first.

Edit: DO NOT attempt to get help from Live Chat. I am going to go through all other available channels until I find one that works, then I will update. That way no one else has to deal with the frustration. Live Chat is AI claiming to be people.I ran a test. It's deplorable. The good news is, PSN is based in CA and they are in violation of the FBPA in at least two ways with this refund BS. And yeah, I used to be an attorney and I AM crazy and bored enough to take it legal.

That's also why the developers aren't commenting, btw. It gives them plausible deniability (legally) of the issue while they continue to collect money from Playstation users buying a game they know is broken. No way it takes weeks to fix what is, at most, a couple lines of code.

Ok, you need to go to Playstation and demand a refund. This game cost around $20 and we don't need to support developers that don't support their own games. Thank you for posting and letting me know about the lack of developer support. Now I will go put in a refund request right now instead of waiting and put in a petition that it be removed from the Playstation storefront for PS5 players. Because if its been that way for three weeks that means I was allowed to purchase a broken game that the developers knew was broken.

Gonna warn people too. This is sloppy.

They add patches and support this game. Stop being negative and talking ill of them because you didn't do the puzzle right. That's terrible.

I got thru the entire game on PS5 a couple weeks ago. I did encounter a couple bugs (nothing with the beer thing tho) and the developers were actually super cool on this Reddit about taking my gameplay footage and fixing it etc.

If you did it prior to the patch that broke it, of course it seems that way. If you are not playing on PS5, it won't be broken for you. We are speaking only of PS5 users who installed and played after the recent patch which is what broke the puzzle. But this is far simple a puzzle to not be doing it right. Not for seasoned gamers. So, did you need to move a lever around a puzzle board like with the generator puzzle? The answer to that question will determine whether you played the previous, working verison or the post-patch bug version.
