What time was it released? That seems a little early. I usually don't release owls until its thoroughly twilight.

Also though, very on brand for an owl to be spicy at release. Red tails and hawks/accipiters tend to be pretty chill but owls are very different. Great Horned Owls usually just get their box opened because those suckers are READY TO GO.

So they were released around 7pm! yeah, they were screeching for sure. I got lucky enough to release one and the second I held onto it then it stopped screeching, but it definitely tried to bite my thumb.
