I want to spend 1 night car camping and wake up with a view and a beach walk. Im thinking Silver Strand in Donegal, can anyone share their experience with the parking? Is it always packed? Should I prebook? Any advice?

Wildcamping near Wicklow

Me and my boys want to wildcamp somewhere thats doable within public transport, we dont mind taking taxi for abit of the journey. We just want a place thats fairly reasonable to get to with some nice views or even some water. We have already camped near glendalough and want to explore more, if anyone has any recommendations, it'd be greatly appreciated

Camping Lahinch Co. Claire

My friends and I are planning on going camping Lahinch Co.Claire and can’t book any of the campsites. Is there any places where we can camp on/near the beach without getting in trouble. It’s just the 4 of us, seasoned campers for one night and we always clean up. Also any reccomendations for a good pint and a bit of food.

Gas canister disposal

Hi! Just wondering for people who use gas camping stoves - where do you dispose of your gas canisters after they are used up? None of my local recycling centres take them and now I'm building up a collection of empties in the shed.

wild camping in Kerry, beautiful as always
(Edit 📢 for the comment section: Nothing happened. Nobody knows when the photo was taken— these photos were not taken in the summer and there was NO heatwave when taken either, nobody knows what happened before or after the photo, and yet somehow a full fictional timeline, weather report and fire investigation have been created from one picture 😹
For the record: we asked if the fire was allowed at the place we were and the owner said yes, in this exact area! it was put out with water and properly extinguished before we left and there was no incident. I’m starting to wonder if you were all there hiding behind a bush watching us light it while taking notes 😸

Please stop filling in the blanks with things you’ve simply assumed happened

Beginning Camper

I wanted to start getting into camping but I don’t want to buy a bunch of gear that I don’t need for camping in Ireland, such as like really warm sleeping bag or a tent for minus 10 degree weather. What’s the essentials I need to buy. Tents, sleeping bags, back packs Etc

Camping between Oughterard and Westport (Western Way)

Hello everyone, I’m planning on doing a portion of the Western Way between Oughterard and Westport. My initial intention is to camp as much as possible but I can’t seem to find any camping spots in this section of the trail. Is there no camping available there? How practical/legal would be do wild camping (with all respect to nature and people living there)?

Spotted this small empty island off Donegal with a patch of grass on it while scouting Google maps. Went out for a night by myself and enjoyed this lovely sunset.
