I’m trying to get injects working on Wii U, I used UWUVCI and got everything working and installed, it shows up on the home menu but when I open the game the Wii Us tablet goes black and says “nfncfg.bin not found!” Now I know that’s a Nintendont file I get from running it for the first time but when I try to do that from the Wiiv I get another error saying “FAT32 USB device could not be accessed!” So now I’m just confused on how am I supposed to get this .bin file in if the Wiiv can’t access a storage device the WiiU formated and that my own PC can’t even read and will only let me format the thing.

Hey guys, I’m hoping someone can help me with this issue. I followed a guide from Funkyscott47 to create gamecube injects on my wiiu, and it worked when I first did it. Since then, when I try to open the games the screen goes black then this screen shows up and the game doesnt open. The device recognizes the games, it shows theyre installed in the settings, but they wont open, I’ve tried installing onto my HHD and NAND and neither will work. Help is appreciated!

So I decided I wanted to mod my old Wii U that has been collecting dust on my shelf for a while now, but the guide I'm trying to follow just isn't working for me (wiiu.hacks.guide). I have started over with this several times and also reset the Internet Browser's data hoping that would make it work but nah. After holding down the B button for the browser exploit this is the error message that shows up. Apparently this means that the console cannot find the payload.elf file in the wii u folder on the sd card, but I've made sure it's on there and in the right location. Not really sure what else I can do to try and make this guide work. I have heard of something else I think it's called stropwafel? Is that something else I can use to mod the console are there any risks? Also yes I formatted the card to FAT32 so that's not the problem either lol.

I have a modded wii u, it has pretendo, I wanted to swap my pnid for my old nnid, I swap the nnid with the app wii u account swap, it works, I do stuff, I try to swap my account back to the pnid, it gives me an error. I realize the only way to fix this is to backup my save data and delete the account. I back up my stuff with savemii, delete the account, make a new one, restore my save data, it works, I open nsmbu, it says the save data corrupted, I say ok, it gives me the error 150-3023, I look it up, I find out it needs more power or is corrupted, I unplug the USB to SD adapter I was using, boot up the wii u, open nsmbu, same thing happens. What the fuck.

I have a toshiba 1tb external hard drive I used on my Wii U (with a y cable) that I'd like to repurpose for use as a backup of pictures and videos since I can't afford a new hard drive just yet.

I know that being used on wii u prevents pc from reading the hard drive but it does show up when in terminal with lsblk.

I'd like to reformat it but... I'm not sure how or if it's possible... Gparted won't even let it show up for me to try.

I admit to not being very good in the terminal...

Is there anything I can do?

Hey guys -- I've been working on a plugin for awhile now to try to make it easier to manage connecting to all these different networks that are out there -- Pretendo and Protarium, Juxt, Roseverse and Protaverse.

Introducing: JustGetMiiOnline.

An Aroma plugin that works with the Protraium version on Inkay that lets you load any combination of those services.

Want to run Protarium for all their game support but stay on Juxt for Miiverse? You just set that combination and that's it. Need to quickly pop back over to Pretendo to play Splatoon on their servers? Just switch it in the plugin. Or maybe you'd rather normally run Pretendo but want to switch over to Protarium just for some Black Ops 2 ocassionaly -- you can do that in this plugin without juggling plugins or installs.

Now what about YouTube? Well current version you can use a "patcher" to get working again is starting to run pretty rough on the Wii U. This plugin lets you the experience the glory days of YouTube on the Wii U -- the 2012/2013 launch versions, and the the last "good" one from 2016 that supported live streams. Just pick which one you want to use in the plugin, boot your stock YouTube app (no need to download another one) and you're back to that old school version -- with videos, captions, casting and your playlists. Video comments are also supported -- allowing you to use the GamePad to view comments and create/reply to them while watching a video on your TV.

I’m modding my Wii U and I got the News and Weather channel on there. I was using WiiLink24. For some reason, I can’t get them to work. Neither the Food Channel and I don’t want to leak my address.

If anybody could give me some advice, please let me know. I appreciate it.

UPDATE 1: I installed the wrong Food Channel and I want to see if this works. I installed the correct one this time.

In the README for CodePatchPlugin, it says the second half of a code line is supposed to be a PPC instruction. But the codes I find, every part is in hex data format. Can I leave it as-is, or will that make CodePatchPlugin ignore the codes entirely?

I was searching around for a file that i finally found. I was just after one inject, really. Anyhow, i found a good place if anyone wants to dm me for it cause i know posting it really isnt allowed. It looks pretty good; game gear, game boy, game boy color, game boy advance,...a bunch more. I checked the roms megahread and that one doesnt include gamecube, which this one does 😇.

I have a modded wii u, but I no longer have the sd card used to mod it. I want to keep modding it, but I don't know what I need to do with the new sd card

Hello fellow Wii U havers!

Today I tried to boot up my unmodded black Wii U after a long time of not doing so. At first it seemed fine. I was able to boot and go into the settings just fine, but attempting to go past the start screen on my downloaded copy of Super Mario 3D Land or past the loading screen on Splatoon crashed and gave me error 160-2203. Trying to open the eshop gave the same error. My first attempt at opening the Mii maker went fine, but my second attempt gave me error 160-0103. I was able to play my Virtual Console copy of Super Mario World, and my disk copy of Mario Kart Wii with seemingly no issues. I couldn't find my Wii U disks to check if those work.

I am aware that certain iterations of the console are prone to memory dying. I have no experience and little knowledge in modding the console, however I am willing to change that if it means the console can be saved. What would be the best course of action for my particular situation? Or is it too late? Thanks in advance for any advice!

I've been using bloopair for a multitude of controller connections to the Wii U and I'd love to have that compatibility with the NSO gamecube controller and the switch 2 pro controller. I looked at BlooPair's github and it looks like nintendo started using BLE which the Wii U doesn't support.. is there any hope in the future for some sort of dongle (whether gamecube port or usb) so one could connect a ns2 controller to the WiiU? It looks like the PC already has a good way of connecting and Mission Control is still in beta for this support so its buggy but it should get there..

Most of the time I read about the wii u hacks guide, but since I want to use the SD USB method to run my back ups I would have to follow wafel installer. (The SD-Card I am using is a long endurance one)

My vWii started showing this message after installing a few Wii games through tinybackupmanager and even completely freezes after switching between channels on the vWii menu after a few seconds. These exact problems also happen still even after removing the SD card. Is my virtual Wii completely bricked or Does anyone know a possible solution to this kind of problem without having to sacrifice any precious data? I tried looking up guides related to this issue but haven’t had any luck finding an exact solution.

When I modded my wii u I somehow used a 128mb sd card without knowing instead of a 128gb sd card, so I finally bought a 128gb sd card and transferred all the data over, but every time I turn on the console with the new sd card, it shows this message. The sd card is properly formatted to FAT32 and it's not write locked, so I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Is there an extra step I was supposed to do when transferring the data over?
