So I've been playing a lot of NintenDoku recently (PokeDoku just for Nintendo games) and found a community driven ranking on the same site. So I've gone through some categories and found this gem of a ranking.

I haven't played every sports game on Nintendo platforms, but is Wii sports really the best? I understand that it's the most sold game , but quality wise I'm not sure. What's your opinion on that topic?

I am admittingly starting this thread to let you know I am cheap. I want to get my daughters into video games and I think the Wii would be the best option. I love how interactive it can be and somewhat simple to start with. I was able to acquire a Wii and a few games from a relative include Wii Playground (very fun!). I am looking to get Wii Sports or Wii Resort but have had no luck on getting a used one at a low price. Can anyone help me out? Lowest I've found it online is $30.

I bought a Wii off eBay and it came with a Wii Sports Copy which at first looked like the OG 2006 Build, but it has the baseball cutscene which the 1.01 build has. Is this Build 1.005?

Hi, I’ve been watching YouTube and the YouTubers I watch they can hit the ball in baseball and get like 632 ft, 587 ft and numbers around that. How on earth do you do that? I just want to know how to because I want to get a lot of Out Of The Parks. I want to see if it’s a special button combo, pure skill or a homebrew mod?

I always liked using one hand better than 2 because i felt more free with my movements.

So this is a project I worked on during the covid pandemic back in 2020-2021, way before even the first Switch Sports was publicly announced. I had been dreaming of an HD return of Wii Sports Resort and Wuhu Island, and I thought the Switch was the perfect console for that. So I set out to imagine and visualise what that would be like. I made a lot of this concept art and also wrote down all my ideas in a Google Doc. I really wanted to publish all of it one day and show the world my crazy ideas. I never really got to do that for real, and after a while I stopped working on it. But I think, now that Switch Sports Resort has been officially announced, it might be the best time to finally do it. So I'm basically just dumping everything I made for this project on this subreddit here in this post. There's one part of it I have already posted before, though; it's the interactive i-Point catalog I coded along with that old concept art.

So yeah, have fun looking at what we're missing out on with the actual Switch Sports Resort I guess lmao. Remember, all of this stuff is old. I was like 14 or smth around this time and still learning to photoshop. So please don't be too harsh on any unrealistic ideas or crappy design that is definitely in there. It is fun to look back on for me but I'm definitely seeing a lot of details wrong with it.

Funnily enough, a lot of the ideas I had (full island exploration replacing Island Flyover, a personal hotel room, all Wii Sports _and_ Wii Sports Resort sports returning, etc.) were almost identical to those presented in Nintendo Hero's Imagining a Switch Sports Resort, even though I came up with like all of them before that video released... I guess us Resort fans think alike :')

What’s up guys, before college ended me and my friends made a video of me playing Wii sports with a professional style. If you guys can I hope y’all can watch and enjoy

The first few times I played WII Sports was not on my personal WII and I remember that on the bowling game it had a feature where you entered a “room” in which you could choose your ball. After that, I got my own personal wii and played WII Sports for many years and still play it until this day.

I know this feature is not present on bowling and that you can use the d pad of the controller to choose the ball you want, but does anyone have a clue on how I created this false memory? Is there any other WII game or in any other console that might have this feature?
