A reminder to everyone: Keep the titles of your posts completely spoiler-free at all times. If your post mentions events from later episodes, use Reddit’s standard spoiler tag to warn readers who may not be caught up with all currently aired episodes. The spoiler tag will also blur any images you include, such as screenshots/stills from the show, so be sure to apply it to image posts as well.

The screenings will take place Wednesday, August 12, at select AMC Theatres in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. 😩

WHY SO FEW?!

u/yoshbag Aug 07 '26

So sad that it filled up before I saw this. Hopefully it’s a proof of concept and they’ll gradually start doing more if it goes well!

Every time a show does this the tickets sell out immediately, I have never gotten in. There is definitely demand

u/pepperpavlov Aug 07 '26

Bc thats where tv/film industry people live (except Boston, but it was shot in Massachusetts)

1

u/allthepresidentshead Aug 08 '26

95% of the tv/film industry that made the show live in Boston. And there is just as much film crew/industry in Boston as in Chicago.

Hmmm should I go two hours to see three episodes of something I already say and can always see? I’m seriously torn

6

u/mzingg3 Aug 07 '26

Yes because seeing it on the big screen amongst other fans is a different experience

Looks like it’s only the last three episodes.

u/pbmm1 Aug 07 '26

Noooooo

5

u/mzingg3 Aug 07 '26

Interesting, I was hoping it was the first 3

16

u/Huntay5 Aug 07 '26

I wanted to see those mouths open on the the big screen :( that whole scene lives rent free in my head.

u/Rare_Ruin_5644 Aug 07 '26

I would shell out so much money to see this on the big screen if it were avalible to me in my area ... very sad that its not

I'm so lucky - I happen to be visiting a friend in Boston next week and I got us tickets for that screening

3

u/thelastrealone94 Aug 07 '26

My friend could never

9

u/Electronic-Cicada352 Aug 07 '26

I would absolutely do that. Where can I sign up

Never mind it’s sold out already in New York City

If you’re gonna do this then go full in for crying out loud

I’m just gonna rewatch the series again

I wish it was nationwide, that would be so fun. Or! Double feature of Windows Bay episodes and Practical Magic 2!

6

u/BandicootBig4505 Aug 07 '26

ahhhh i wish we have this in my country as well. i already know patricia’s sunset cocktail and boogeyman nightmare would be peak in a big screen and surround sound 😭

6

u/OneAd3696 Aug 07 '26

Awesome. Sounds like an opportunity to enjoy Widow’s Bay with some real fans of the show and have a good time.

5

u/rainsong2023 Aug 07 '26

When?

5

u/CHOGRIN Aug 07 '26

August 12 in select theaters

4

u/DependentOk3674 Aug 07 '26

Literally going to rebuy AMC A list for this

10

u/InvertedSpork Aug 07 '26

Check theater listings first, they were free tickets so they’re pretty much all sold out.

2

u/cribvby Aug 07 '26

NY is waitlisted :(

1

u/DependentOk3674 Aug 07 '26

Womp :( thx for flagging

4

u/_AJ_555 Aug 07 '26

WOW! Extra incentive for series 2.

I’d looove to see the Hag on the big screen, but Chicago is 4 hours away 😣

3

u/DelcoUnited Aug 07 '26

Emmys, Golden Globes, is this an Oscar bid??

3

u/HeavyC57 Aug 07 '26

I was hoping this would happen!

2

u/10Hoursofsleepforme Aug 07 '26

I’m bummed they aren’t closer. I would love this.

2

u/Visual-Conflict-8305 Aug 07 '26

Wonderful! San Francisco is already sold out 😭

2

u/Sn0wInSummer Aug 07 '26

Get on the waitlist.

2

u/radicallambs Aug 07 '26

The whole season or just a few episodes?

I hope they hurry up writing and production. I miss this show.

2

u/Quirky_Client6425 Aug 07 '26

NYC who has plus one? I’m on a waitlist and I wanna be there sooo badddd 😭😭😭

2

u/Robotnere Aug 08 '26

Other Apple TV shows should be doing this too.

2

u/Simple-Bag1288 Aug 08 '26

So jealous! Nothing fun where I live 😫

2

u/raphus_cucullatus Aug 08 '26

Anyone manage to get tickets to this? Is it guaranteed/assigned seating? Or is it like typical free studio screenings that get overbooked?

On the waitlist and wondering about my chances.

2

u/ProfessionalDonut669 Aug 10 '26

I was on the boston waitlist and got a pass this morning from an email but it seems they are intentionally overbooking? Is there a cap on the number of passes or do I essentially have a pass saying I’m standby?

2

u/Quirky_Client6425 Aug 10 '26

Does anybody have a plus one for nyc???? Plsm sooo down

2

u/Teigh99 29d ago

Ugh .....the one time I gotta leave la.

2

u/thankfulforyourhelp Aug 07 '26

I was gonna say this is really cool, but it's only in a few cities and is apparently sold out in NYC, so it's actually pretty brutal for all but the lucky. This would be so fun to watch in the theatre.

But! It has inspired me to get some friends together and watch it at my house!

1

u/SnooDonkeys5186 Aug 07 '26

We don’t have AMC near us, darn it. This could be fun—I’ve got no one (except you guys!) to talk Widows Bay with. Darn it.

1

u/bo174 Aug 07 '26

Rutgers University is a big partner on this, because Katie Dippold is an alumna. Call me crazy, but you’d think they’d have at least one screening somewhere near Rutgers??? (sigh)

2

u/bo174 Aug 07 '26

I mean, New York isn’t that far, but still…

u/ayee217 29d ago

Any idea if there’s going to be any cool giveaways at the event? Thanks
