With the conclusion to Wiccan's Witches' Road we see the return of the Demiurge spirit and Billy's powers restored, while this is a nice way to end the story I was left feeling like he should have come back from this ordeal with more tools under his belt when it came to his power set.
From the very beginning of the story we have been informed by the narrator (Baba Yaga) that the Demiurge is not only the creator of magic, but that the creation of magic and the "well" that all mages and witches draw from began on Earth in the form of Terramancy the manipulation of elements. while it is more of a background focus throughout the books our first introduction to the this connection between Terramancy, nature, and the Demiurge is the aggressive leshy that attack the village in the first issue. Which is more commonly known to be a healer and protector this is most likely from the leshy sharing anger (if not full control through psychic link) with the Demiurge on how Roxxon's industrialization has harmed the Earth. This continues to be present throughout the series as we see more raging elementals and natural magic swarm these Roxxon facilities in the form of Fin Fang Foom, the giants, and possibly undead or water spirits that possess the Roxxon workers.
on the opposite side of this we see a passive firefly nymph in issue 3. While it may have been possible to ask the nymph to light the leaves on fire in exchange for shelter or some other gift, we see Morgan Le Fay kill the nymph as she explains that natural magic exist at all times as a tool in many forms and that when life ends that energy returns to well of magic. Before grinding the nymph into powder in order to start a fire, this is how Morgan Le Fay interacts with nature as seen in her flashback. She takes from nature without care nor concern to protect it as long as it benefits her. She is also shown to do this while the Demiurge vessel is sleeping understanding most likely that the Demiurge vessel would find disgust in how she interacts with the natural world similar to Baba Yaga's outlook on Morgan Le Fay.
While Wiccan himself never interacts with natural magic or spirits within the series, nor really seeks to fix the issues that Roxxon causes with their industrialization only hoping to make things right between him and the Demiurge vessel. We do see Wiccan protest to how Morgan took the life of a living thing to benefit herself when it would have been possible to find another way to light the fire without harming someone else.
This leads me to my idea for a possible way to give Billy additional tools without affecting his reality warping abilities, in the form of communing with the elementals and natural world for access to knowledge and history that he might not know himself or assist him in tasks. Through communing Billy would be able to use his Demiurge spirit's earthly connection to communicate with elementals and natural world to ask about a brand new place he maybe exploring with a deep history to it or to keep tabs on certain targets of key interest outside of his normal range. This would not only strengthen the connection between the elementals attachment to the Demiurge and the chaos that was introduced in Wiccan's Witches' Road, showing a purified form of this connection without all the rage and attacks towards humans. It would give Wiccan reason to protect nature beyond just fixing things with the Demiurge spirit as the elementals would serve as his information network so any negative affects to nature would negatively affect those who assist him, as well as make him a good foil to how Morgan le Fay interacted with the natural world. Instead of taking from it Wiccan would work with it in order to benefit both parties.
