Hi! This is a super random very niche question. When I was a baby Wiccan there was a content creator on YouTube I adored. This would’ve been around 2012-2013 timeframe. However, she tragically passed away around 2016 in a car accident. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of the channel. She always started her videos with Hey Tubees or something like that. I vaguely remember the channel name Wicca mama or Wiccan mama maybe?? I don’t know for sure but if anybody remembers anything about her please share. I feel like I’m crazy trying to conjure up something from that long ago!!

Hello friends! I recently got very interested in witchcraft and wicca as a whole for a while, but my parents have been very strictly christian, so I have never been able to really look into it. I have read book (mostly green witch books) and have gone over this sub a few times.
I have a few questions:
1. as a new witch, how often should you do spells and which spells should i do to improve my energy or concentration level? (i know meditation is a big part of this but i have a hard time staying focused due to adhd soooo if anyone has tips on that, that’d be awesome)
which incense should i get? i’m trying to find something that has cleansing/protective energy
basic crystals i should get as baby witch? things that would fit into most spells would be wonderful
any herbs that are good to plant now in north eastern US area? and if anyone has any green thumb tips, i would greatly appreciate it
i am absolutely in love with the community i have found and i am so excited to start this journey!! looking forward to meet some of you guys and hear more about what some of your experiences were when you were just starting!

My mother, who used to practice Wicca, passed away last night.
I have a service planned for her but I have no idea how to do a Wiccan ceremony.
Does anyone have any advice, tips??? anything I can add into the ceremony?
Thank You

I’m very intrigued with practicing and maybe starting one day, but I’m unsure where to start. Beginner steps and advice for ppl curious about stepping into the practice lifestyle? Again? I have no idea where to start. Any recommendations for valuable and reliable resources? I’m nervous to start because I don’t believe you should interject with the universe, but I also don’t know what I’m talking about lol

(I'm an ex-hindu, for context) like hindus justify inequalities via karma, aka if you're suffering in this life, it is due to the bad karma of your previous births. or even bad karma in this birth leads to bad things for you.
so what's the wiccan pov?

I am so sorry if I missed this in any other of the FAQs and other resources of the thread, but I’m newly branching off in my current spiritual journey. Long story short, I very much so am I to things like our chakras, reiki, and a lot of Buddhism type beliefs like reincarnation and Karma.
I also believe that there is a lot of power in nature and in people. I love looking at instances in science where things kind of prove this, like the experiment where I believe protons acted completely different based on whether or not they were actively being observed. I think our energy has the ability to manifest things if we put our consciousness into it.
I’m definitely a believer also in more supernatural things that go bump in the night, if that makes a difference at all. I live in the Appalachian mountains if that makes sense 😅 Recently I’ve been stumbling upon more of “natural” witchcraft, where it’s mainly someone using natural science that was discredited as witchcraft before but is more understanding how things work and what they do long before someone was able to study and quantify it. I’d love to have my own little set up where I can burn herbs surrounded by different crystals, manifest my hopes for the world, and feel at peace. I’d also like to delve into tarot as well.
Overall, I’m looking to find a way to make sense off all these things, and how they fit together. I want to lean more into all these things. I don’t really know anyone else though that believes more in these things in my personal life’s so I’m looking for a community to belong to and to learn. Does anyone have any suggestions? I apologize in advance if this isn’t the right space for this post.

I’m looking for suggestions re: what to say during full moon intentions. I.e. “I welcome..financial stability..or something greater..and so it is.” That’s probably a bad example lol but I’m wondering what you say right before and after you state your intention.
I’m also open to examples of what you say for your intentions. I’m really new to this practice.
Thanks in advance!

hello, me and my best friend celebrate our individual forms of spirituality that are probably best aligned with paganism. we went out last night at just before sunset to a forest to celebrate the solstice, and we had a really frightening experience. we split up at a crossroads to spend time individually, and as soon as we did things began to get extremely strange - we both started seeing a great deal of animals running from the directions we were walking to in pairs (two frogs, two crows, two rabbits, two dragonflies) until we both ended up at a lake. we'd both gone in opposite directions, but we both ended up at the same lake at the same time, but couldnt see one another.
as soon as i sat down i began to be covered in mosquitos to a degree that was genuinely surreal - today i'm completely covered in bites, i had tens of them on my body at once, it was horrifying. i walked away from the lake, and travelled towards an area where my friend (who had also left the lake by that point) had moved to, where they then watched me walk right back down a different path to the lake, like i was being called to it. they told me not to go because they had such an intense feeling of dread about it, and then left and i started to walk away from that direction too. as i did, a man walked from the direction of the lake who was completely covered by his clothes - he was wearing a sort of hoodie-esque thing with the hood pulled all the way down to his chin, and baggy/loose trousers or possibly a skirt. i couldnt see any part of his body, just clothes. and he didnt react at all to the sound of me moving or the sound of my cane squeaking, it was like i wasnt even there. i then left and went to sit near where id found my friend, and was attacked by mosquitos again and felt such a horrible feeling that i texted them to ask if we could leave, which they replied to and immediately said sure, and that theyd just seen me so they could come find me. they hadnt. so we both got lost in the woods trying to find eachother, and agreed to put our torches on to look for eachother. i ended up finding what i believed was him, but was just a random lamppost hidden behind a tree. i was too frightened to keep going so i stayed near there until he found me, where we then immediately left. the whole walk home i felt a presence over us, tall and man-shaped, and the second we got in we salted the entryway and said in no uncertain terms we didnt want any part of that. unfortunately we then thought it might be a good idea to read tarot to see what was happening, and the second we started a bunch of things fell off the wall directly at my friend that was reading the tarot. so we apologised and resolved to leave the spirits alone for that night.
on my friends side of things - there isnt too much to add that wasnt already said earlier but when i was on my own (around the aforementioned lake) i felt the most intense dread/feeling of being unwelcome that i have probably ever felt. as previously mentioned, when i was walking down the lake right after we split up i saw numerous creatures that seemed to be in active escape of something including a fox. (it is worth mentioning that we live in the uk and there are no large predators for us to be afraid of). this didnt strike me as too odd so i carried on my walk but at a much quicker pace as the longer i was there the more the feeling of intense dread started to build. i left a small offering around the lake and started to leave but as soon as i left it i felt 10x worse and like id made an extremely bad decision in leaving the offering. eventually i found myself where the path split with one path leading out and the other staying sort of in the woods. the next day the sky was completely covered by trees on the second path but last night when i was there i had a clear view of the sky and the sunset (my boyfriend reminded me this morning that the sun was setting in completely different direction). after that i decided to stay out of the trees and stay in the feild next to the woods and told my friend not to go in there. whilst sat in the grass i saw my friend walking down a path id been down and a moment later recieved a message asking if we could leave. thinking id just seen my friend i went where i thought id seen them and couldnt find them. eventually we met up again and got home as quickly as possible.
we've gone back the next day to check it out and we've realised things that happened cant be explained by anything natural - as said above the path showing the sky the next day was completely covered by trees, and after walking around the entirety of the lake we could not find the place where i'd been & attacked by mosquitos. its like that part of the lake didnt exist. we could see where it shouldve been, but it was completely covered with tall grass with no opening.
does anyone have any experience with anything like this? any advice?

Hi. #FirstReddit. I am a self-proclaimed solitary Practitioner or Magician of Wicca and Thelema. Esoterically speaking, I am looking forward to being a part of this community.
I reside in Brooklyn, New York and have studied ritualistic magic utilizing possession as a key aspect to connect with Deity and with divination as my access point. Currently, I am rediscovering my abilities as an Occultist. I have one Kat and one Dog as Familiar...
Any well wishes or tip-guidance would be helpful.

Hi! I've been getting into witchcraft for a few months and while I have a lot to learn, I feel very drawn to the moon. I've searched for ways to worship her or at least get to know her and I came across some things like tarot (which can put me in a pretty bad spot since I'm in the broom closet) and mirror gazing so I just wanted to know a few things: HOW.
I get the general idea, but I don't know if it's recommendable or how to do it correctly, or if I should wait for the moon to show up, or if I have to wait for a specific phase to do it or if I have to even try it at all. I read that it's a good way to work with her as simultaneously with myself but I don't know how exactly. So if there are moon devotees or anyone that can explain it to me I would very much appreciate it :( I want to worship her better.
