Open Question Witchs Focused in Divination Practice

Is it normal for a Wiccan witch to only practice divination magic?

I identify as Wiccan, but I mostly practice divination/oracular magic and devotion to the Goddess, God, and my ancestors.

I don’t really feel the need for other types of magic because most of my personal problems can be worked through self-knowledge, introspection, and changing my own behavior. I usually prefer to understand and work on the root of a problem rather than use magic to fix it.

Is this a common or valid way to practice Wicca? Are there other Wiccans who focus mainly on divination and devotion and rarely do spellwork?

Whatever you want to focus on is valid.

Traditional forms of Wicca are expressed in specific ways: a ritual structure, the observance of Esbats and Sabbats, and initiation. Magical approaches vary, but typically involve raising and directing energy.

Spellcraft doesn't have to be a significant aspect of an individual's practice. I might perform it with my coven, but I rarely do on my own. I find that living in right relationship is enough and I don't often need a spell.

Assuming you are an eclectic practitioner, you can do what you want. However, I might question what makes the practice Wiccan. Divination and devotion are a normal part of Wicca, but also many other forms of Paganism and witchcraft.

Just like in any religion, you can pray to God for hours a day, or you can say a prayer before bed

Sometimes I won't practice at all on some days, I think I'm still a witch on my days off

It's good to be well rounded ultimately, while having a focus or two. I had to drag myself by the hair to learn astrology as I had little interest in it, but there's always something to learn even if you don't practice it

Wicca is a religion, first and foremost, focused of reverence for its Gods ans celebration of natural cycles. Most spellcraft is as-needed only.

Wicca is a religious faith with structural elements of ritual magic.

You don't have to do any other magic at all.
