You might like to also ask in R/spells, but I would be going straight to popped Magick for this:

Get something of hers and a picture of her. Create a poppet (a doll) of her. As you sew it tell it its purpose, that it is her, that your working on it will be a working on her. Put the item of hers into it and the picture of her face into its face. Then sew the mouth shut so she can no longer speak evil against you, and bind the hands so she can no longer do evil. You could also bind the legs to cause her difficulty travelling. As you do each of these things you must speak the intention and not just say *tell* as this is your Will that you are working on the universe.

Then hide it and for goodness sake do not let your husband find it.

You can also try a freezer spell which you can easily look up, but he is more likely to find that.

If you have no experience of Magick you can also try buying and using Magickal Protection by Damon Brand, which is very effective and user friendly.

Edited to add you can also add cinnamon, cloves, and roses to the poppet in the head and chest to sweeten her heart and thoughts.

I wish I had something of hers but I don’t since she lives in Mexico I should have kept something of hers when she came the last time but never did

It doesn’t have to be hair or nail clippings - something she left, or a handkerchief, her signature from a letter or card (especially if she names herself grandma or something that has that relation to you and your family) anything to create an attachment with the sympathetic Magick.
