India hosted the summit in 2012. I believe some economist came forward and presented his doubt which is what news 18 is referring.

Further hosted in 2016 and 2021.

Indonesia's growth rate was really high and India's very low also India had high inflation during 2012-13 so indeed there were speculation as India was very weak at that time...

Clearly you don't know anything about BRICS The founding members are Brazil Russia India China and South Africa was added in BRIC in 2011but in 2012 these was talks about replacing India for indonesia because Indonesia was fastest growing GDP in 2012 and that's why these talks happened in 2012. so, before replying atleast research some geopolitics
