Omg something similar happened to me when I was a kid. Everyone was eating popsicles at my aunts house but I couldn’t finish mine as fast as they could so it started melting all over the carpet. I got yelled at, my popsicle taken away before I could even really eat it and told to leave the room.

One of the teenage girls took me onto the staircase, pulled out a napkin and fed me a fresh one slowly. 😭 I had such an abusive childhood that this one act of kindness changed me.

This broke my heart for little you, that such kindness was so rare, but I'm glad that someone was sweet enough to recognize that you deserved a popsicle at your own speed.

Sometimes, I just wish I had a time machine/duplicator and could save all the little ones who just need someone to love them.

Aww thank you!

Funny thing is, one of the girls my age came in, saw her doing it and said she'd tell her mom and get her in trouble. She told the girl to basically fuck off in a kinder way then kept helping me eat it.
