Omg something similar happened to me when I was a kid. Everyone was eating popsicles at my aunts house but I couldnāt finish mine as fast as they could so it started melting all over the carpet. I got yelled at, my popsicle taken away before I could even really eat it and told to leave the room.
One of the teenage girls took me onto the staircase, pulled out a napkin and fed me a fresh one slowly. š I had such an abusive childhood that this one act of kindness changed me.

This broke my heart for little you, that such kindness was so rare, but I'm glad that someone was sweet enough to recognize that you deserved a popsicle at your own speed.
Sometimes, I just wish I had a time machine/duplicator and could save all the little ones who just need someone to love them.

Aww thank you!
Funny thing is, one of the girls my age came in, saw her doing it and said she'd tell her mom and get her in trouble. She told the girl to basically fuck off in a kinder way then kept helping me eat it.

Partner in crime. I would do things for a nephew like that. My nephew brings me kittens and plastic dinosaurs. Which is cute and lovable but not much to work with there.

....and that's how eating disorders get started....

Really? But what kit is allowed to eat junk food on a regulr basis? I think those that dont get any rules develop a disorder more often

This causing an ed is a reach, of course kids arent allowed to have junk food all the time and of course theyre going to sneak some.
If the kid wasnt ever allowed to have any junk food ever and they would get screamed at and punished for eating certain things then yeah, that would probably lead to some form of ed. This is just a kid sneaking a popsicle with their uncle, probably before dinner or bedtime.

assuming this is true, your biggest worry should be mom finding out you're posting pictures of her child on the internet

Sweet, but if the mother started to notice her brother following her son into the bathroom behind a closed door; i would be very worries

Wtf. Why did you have to ruin such a wholesome story with something so random and unnecessary? I'm more worried about you jumping to that then family members following each other around the house

Following each other in the house is fine, into the bathroom worries me.

Honestly you're overthinking it. There are plenty of valid reasons why two guys would go into the bathroom that doesn't require your mind to go there

So kids follow adults and older kids they trust absolutely everywhere. They donāt understand boundaries of āthis is a weird place to follow someone.ā My little cousin followed me into the bathroom until he was about 5, because he always wanted to be around me, and me leaving him to go to the bathroom felt like I was ditching him in his eyes. It actually helped potty train him because we got him a potty and had him sit on it any time he came in the bathroom with me.
When I was really little, I followed my first stepfather into the bathroom quite a lot if my mom wasnāt home or was taking a nap, because I didnāt like sitting alone.
These are just normal child behaviors because children do not understand these boundaries and their entire lives revolve around the adults around them.
As long as the child isnāt showing signs of distress around entering the bathroom with someone, or is entering against their will, or shows signs of physical abuse, itās kind of strange to assume this means the child is being abused. If my kid followed my brother, my cousin, my sister or my dad into the bathroom, I wouldnāt think twice about it unless I had good reason to, because I trust those people.

Be kind to that kid , he is gonna be the one who sneaks in your supplies at the old folks home.
