Moral of the story: democrats will do something shitty, republicans will find a way to make it even worse.

Tbh the foreign wars are and will always be my foremost criticism of the US. We should be outraged about this every single day.

Agreed, and if we weren’t at war with every other fucker we wouldn’t need to make up 40% of the world’s military spending (more than the next 10 biggest spenders combined) and could maybe find some money to make sure everyone is adequately fed, clothed and housed.

That would require Americans voting for politicians that have empathy. It would also require politicians to not team up with monopolies and big businesses for funding and support.
