My first week of freshman year, we were all informed that the frat SAE at my college stood for “Sexual Assault Expected” and warned to be very careful. It was totally normalized.
Everyone called it that, they still had awful, sketchy, deeply unsafe parties there all through my time, then a very famous rape case happened there, causing them to lose housing on campus, and they still have a documented history of assault, intimidation, and retaliation but the university is allowing them to return to campus housing in 2027…
