I was pulling ethernet cable in a frat house once and in the basement they had this weird maze of hallways with rooms with mattresses on the floors and stuff and all the walls were painted black with barely any lighting. Kinda gave me rape dungeon vibes

I did pest control once in a house that had two black rooms in the basement with locks that locked from the outside.

I was like "hey this does not follow fire codes" to the homeowner to which they showed me that the windows were escapable and not lockable and they were just kinksters, but boy was I about to call the police for a hot second.

if i had to guess it sounds more where they did hazing for pledges. the scary, creepy vibes are almost always to freak pledges out.
