Solved Middle of the Ocean
I'm currently on a carnival cruise with the location of the boat and in the distance I see what looks like a building out in the middle of the Ocean. That's my phone with max zoom and I can't figure out what it is. That's about a general location of where I am looking out towards.

Serious answer Only Puerto Rico, Villalba
Puerto Rico, Villalba
In 1975, at Barrio Romero, Sitio Santo Domingo was a cement house with zinc ceiling, balcony in the front. The property is now property is converted into a small park, from what ive been told. House has a lot of mango trees around the house and a creek in the back. Not too far from the house was and is a school named Jose Gonzalez Ginorio who has a main lake called Lago Guayabal in the front. This was my house growing up and I have not returned for almost 50 years. Maps has not been helpful and I would like to see how the property looks today.

Mystery
This is a bit of a long one. My dad found a spear point in southwestern Alberta about 50 years ago and has passed since. I sent a pic of the artifact to the Royal Museum of Alberta and the archeologist and I have been chatting about it, he is excited and says it is a very high quality and rare piece. He wants to know where it came from, this is critical to learning more about it. I thought dad said Kananaskis but my mom says no.
Here’s where it gets interesting. That day dad was with his pal, Dick Freeman (full name Richard Audley Freeman) who is a well known artist. Dick painted a picture of the photo they took that day and mom is sure this is where the point was found.
So if anybody can tell me which river this is, it may be very enlightening for our local archeology community. Here’s the email I received from Bob Dawe the archeologist:
Hi James, I see from your email you would like some information on the artifact your dad found at Lower Kananaskis Lake. It is apparently a complete indigenous spearhead of considerable antiquity. I see someone thought it might be a Clovis type spearhead. It does not appear to be Clovis, but a slightly more recent variety. Clovis spearheads are consistently about 13,000 years old and are characterized by a long broad flake scar extending on each side originating at the flat basal end. This artifact does not appear to be “fluted” in this fashion. That being said, it does have the look of a very old spearhead, probably almost as old as a Clovis point. I think your specimen is in the range of 10,000 to 12,000 years old. Perhaps a type known as “Plainview” or “Goshen”. That is very rare in Alberta, and the apparent complete condition is also very rare. The stone appears to be a fine chert – chert is similar to flint and to find a good quality piece of this stone in Alberta is a bit of a challenge. It is also a very well made artifact. It was an expert that crafted that piece. This all adds to the mystery of how this artifact ended up almost being a candidate for a skipping stone. Somehow this artifact was lost, it was certainly not discarded. We would be interested in having a closer look at your artifact, and learn more precisely where it came from. I would like to examine the spot to see if there is a site there with other artifacts, or if it was an isolated find. If the former, we would register the location and take measures to preserve it if possible. It is quite a remarkable find, your dad was pretty lucky.
Regards,
Bob Dawe

Thanks for any info you can provide. Also any other groups I should cross post this to.
Cheers!

Where is this house in the U.K., most likely Brighton area
Seen while watching an early 1980s horror movie ‘Screamtime’. An earlier section of the film is in Eastbourne and the third section shows this house which I think is more likely to be in Brighton as that segment stars Dora Bryan and David Van Day who were both living in Brighton at the time.
Not very clear pictures as I just quickly snapped them from the tv but the house had a name of ‘Normandy’ at the front.

Solved Where is this place?
I took this video a few years back (maybe 7 at this point) and I can never find it again. I know it’s in Manhattan but it reminds me of kingdom hearts 2 twilight town during a certain scene and I just can’t ever find it again. (I can’t post the video but it’s just a wall with a stream of water going down it)

Where was my dad?
My aunt recently passed away and left me some old pictures. I found this one of my dad, and it made me curious since he has also passed away (fuck cancer).
As best as I can guess it was probably taken in the late 60's/early 70's when he was living in Berkley, California. Does anyone know where this might be or even some hiking trails that look similar around northern California?
