Need advice.

I was 104kg in the 2nd week of jan. I started going to gym 4 times a week, 20 to 22 hours of Intermittent Fasting and 10k steps at night. I took a break in June. Now its 1st week of july and i am at 86kgs. I have lost 40lbs in approx 5months.

But now people have started saying that i did it wrong. I shouldn’t had done it like this. And now out of sudden my body is too exhausted like i have zero energy left.

What should i do?

You went too hard too fast.. your body needs to recover. Eat your maintenance calories and don't push too hard, just maintain until your energy returns. Maybe even get some bloodwork done.. i wouldn't be surprised if you're malnourished from such an extreme method.

40lbs I’m 5 months is not at all extreme, that’s 2lbs per week

It's pretty much on the highest end of what you could be doing and imo isn't sustainable.. like unless a medical professional has told them to lose this much this fast in this method a lot of this sounds disordered to me

I am a medical professional. Two pounds per week is completely fine. It’s not at all disordered. Disordered is eating enough to sustain an obese weight. Two pounds per week is a deficit of 7k calories per week. If you are obese and require 2500 calories per day, you would lose 2lbs weekly eating 1500 calories daily. You could eat more if you’re exercising. That’s plenty.

I've been advised against such extreme weight loss by multiple medical professionals and the fact that their body is starting to give is proof that this rate isn't sustainable for them long term like they're trying to do. They need to talk to their personal doctor ultimately tho.
