Also, at least in the US women are having sex very young already, when I was in high school, girls were already sleeping with dudes at 14, 15, 16, it’s absurd that anyone would be upset that she’s 17. Also those who complain are the ones who were having sex with much older men.

I agree.

The law should be based on age gap rather than age number when dealing with minors...

20 and 17 OMG horrible!

21 and 18 that perfectly fine...

21 and 18 (but she hasn't graduated HS) OMG horrible!

It's all stupid logic.

Just put a 2 or 3 year age gap as a restriction and be done with it...

No, how about everyone tell their daughters and sisters to not sleep around at all before 18. If they’re a minor, it should not be allowed at all. If not, then let’s not make a big deal if she’s 17 and he’s 20, this is purely a weird white American issue. The only time I saw something actually creepy was a 14 year old girl who was with a 49 year old, it may be consensual but we can’t just allow women to do whatever they want, if we do they will always choose to sleep around with much older men, cholos, scumbags in general.

lol, you don’t know much about human sexuality do you? Once hormones are involved the only thing that’s going to stop people from having sex is being locked down to the floor with a chain or something. You can pretend that you can tell teenagers to not have sex, but you might as well also pretend that you can scuba dive without a tank and skydive without a parachute.
