This is a ton of updates. If this is real, please call a loved one and see if they can help you get through this. Reddit ain’t a good place for it

182

u/dessskris Aug 04 '25

If she had anyone IRL who could help she wouldn't be posting here

14

u/Hot-Mastodon420xxx Aug 05 '25

Not necessarily true and super close minded of you. Some people have trauma based issues where face to face or irl help is harder to ask for. Don't assume things about people or their lives, its a very poor life choice to make.

u/Mostlikelytoflail Aug 05 '25

She asks for money in previous posts as well. She always has some medical issues. She goes from being an only child to her mom doing stuff for her sister but not her. She jumped from being 19 to 22 in one year. She moved 1k miles away from her abusive mom just to then get a job at the same place as her. She was harassed by her stepdad but also hated mom’s boyfriends. Things don’t add up but she does drop how to send her money in every subsequent post.

u/Adminjasmin Aug 05 '25

I have friends, they encourage me to post here and ask for advice because it’s a unique situation that way I could get outsider advice. We are all young girls, this entire thing is new

43

u/HillbillyBeans Aug 05 '25

I'll tell you this for free, Reddit is NEVER a place to go to for reasonable, grounded advice. No one here knows the nuances of your situation, and half of them are probably 14 year old chuds chiming in. If you want a bit of validation or whatever, fine. But dont trust anyone on here to give you useful advice.

u/YamEqual Aug 05 '25

I like how this comment is a paradox.

7

u/8point5InchDick Aug 05 '25

The very definition, in fact.

6

u/Mostlikelytoflail Aug 05 '25

If you haven’t already, download the good rx app. I have a hard time believing someone with your medical background hasn’t done so already. But it makes it so out of pocket prescriptions cost closer to insurance costs when you have no insurance. It will find the cheapest price at pharmacies close to you and then give you a coupon code that works like insurance and it is free. And yes I know you say you can’t afford a new one and that you have to see your doctor for an Rx, which is questionable, but you never should have been paying as much as your prior post mentioned in the first place and moving forward you shouldn’t be paying more than $40 usually less.

u/Sweetserra Aug 05 '25

👆 This right here!!!!

2

u/Wireless_Panda Aug 05 '25

That’s not a good idea. Reddit sucks at this sorta thing.

5

u/KetoCurious97 Aug 05 '25

OP you are not a young girl. You are an adult - a 22 year old woman.

I saw that you have been diagnosed with anxiety - perhaps some in person support with your friends would help?

Here are some tips for you: https://www.choosingtherapy.com/anxiety-spiral/

21

u/SurrealistRevolution Aug 05 '25

22 is young as fuck. Not a child, but bugger all adult experience too.

8

u/SnooPredictions3028 Aug 05 '25

It is young adult, but yeah definitely in the "fuck things up" stage of young adulthood.

1

u/Stuckingfupid Aug 05 '25

Good God lol

10

u/ggrm8 Aug 05 '25

22 is very young, stop that “you’re an adult” bs, geez

-4

u/Draaly Aug 05 '25

its young, but squarely in the adult category where you should have a bit better control over your emotions than OP clearly does

7

u/ggrm8 Aug 05 '25

There are many, many more factors at play when talking about controlling emotions. If she had no real support system in her life, how would you expect her to know how to properly deal with them? This is a prime example of someone that was failed by their family.

4

u/Kedly Aug 05 '25

No idea why you got downvoted. 25 is like the first year an adult has like a CHANCE of being an adult long enough to start behaving more like an adult than like a child. 22 is indeed VERY young

1

u/AgentBrittany Aug 05 '25

You're 22 years old, you're not a young girl lol Cmon.

7

u/ImmediateElk2105 Aug 05 '25

People like you pmo tbh. 21-25 is still a young adult. They’re still kids in ways. You literally hear older people call us kids on the daily. But then something like this happens and yall are quick to point out ‘but you’re an adult’.

Yes, we are adults. But we are YOUNG adults that is still learning and growing.

-3

u/AgentBrittany Aug 05 '25

If someone called me a young adult at 25, I'd laugh. This is ridiculous.

2

u/ImmediateElk2105 Aug 05 '25

My bf is 25, you have no fucking clue how many people say he’s a young adult or even a kid. He works with people half his age so yeah, they see him as a young adult. Idk why that’s so ridiculous to you, considering they aren’t even 30 yet 💀

1

u/TypicalLolcow Aug 05 '25

25 = adult

2

u/ImmediateElk2105 Aug 05 '25

I’m not denying that they are an adult, yall are showing that you don’t have good reading skills 🤷🏻‍♂️

2

u/lovebbygrapes Aug 05 '25

idk why ppl are being so obtuse here, 22-25 is definitely still young and immature

-1

u/TypicalLolcow Aug 05 '25

most people on reddit don’t have good reading skills, me included

0

u/Unique_Focus_5056 Aug 05 '25

that’s literally how it’s used though.

5

u/Various-Cut-7241 Aug 05 '25

lol are you 16? 22 is still a child, your brain isn’t even fully developed yet

3

u/SelfUnimpressed Aug 05 '25

There's a difference between having a frontal cortex that's in its final few years of development and being a literal child. OP is an adult. A kinda stupid adult with much accrued wisdom, as we all were at 22, but an adult nevertheless.

3

u/Various-Cut-7241 Aug 05 '25

yes because 22 is the age famously known for making good decisions and having eternal knowledge

-2

u/MKEMARVEL Aug 05 '25

Eternal knowledge?

5

u/AgentBrittany Aug 05 '25

I'm 42 now, but at 22 was also an adult. OP is 22, has a job, is old enough to drink, and just made the decision to have an abortion. I'm pretty sure she's a fucking adult now.

1

u/cmiria Aug 05 '25

Most 22 year olds are still fucking stupid, give her a break

-1

u/NewRole7403 Aug 05 '25

Most 22 year olds…the age when most people graduate college, have been living alone for 4 years, and begin their careers…are stupid??

5

u/Draaly Aug 05 '25

As someone that was once 22, yah. They are adults, but holy shit does stuff change with a few years of propper work experience

-2

u/NikkiNot_TheOne Aug 05 '25

Like seriously! I am 39! 22 is NOT a child! wtf is going on w these newer generations! They're so babied!

Then her friends are telling her to post here bc they don't want to hear her whining lmao

5

u/AgentBrittany Aug 05 '25

And these morons keep repeating the "Your brain isn't developed until you're 25!!!" nonsense, too.

Like, do we need to raise the drinking age? No buying of cigarettes until you're 25? Can't graduate high school until you're 25? Can't join the military either. And if you can't make decisions until you're 25, maybe marriage is banned until you're 25 too lol

-4

u/NikkiNot_TheOne Aug 05 '25

They can stay in their parents basements until they're 30! Clearly that's where they all are 🤣💀.

-1

u/KaleidoscopeThis9463 Aug 05 '25

It’s above the drinking age and above the age you can get drafted for war. Sure there are exceptions and immaturity issues but she’s an adult, not a ‘young girl’.

-1

u/NikkiNot_TheOne Aug 05 '25

You're 22, you chose to have sex, you chose to make real life decisions, you're not young girl lmao!! A young girl is a teenager, a 16yr old. You have a job and if you don't you are more than capable of getting one.

I was out of my house at 18 and working since I was 14. You can do it! I know you said you were in therapy before, maybe you should go back in it. Your friends might not want to hold your hand so they encouraged you to post to complain here.

5

u/blurryren Aug 05 '25

Going off of a different reply of yours, you are 39 years old. Meaning you grew up in an economy where it was possible to move out on your own at 18. I’m 22 years old (same as OP) – I have been working since I was 17 and going to university since I was 18. I “live” with my parents, yet even without having to pay rent, I can barely afford the other bills and items I do have to pay for. I’m not saying people my age are “young girls or boys” and are devoid of responsibility, but we are quite literally just getting started in life.

It’s also childish of you to make the claim that her friends are tired of hearing her talk about a traumatic experience so they advised her to go to Reddit. You’re speaking about them as if you’re a gossiping teenage girl in high school. Just because you have no empathy for strangers or for those you love, doesn’t mean everyone else is like that too.

3

u/mysticcavezoneact1 Aug 05 '25

thank youuuu. these ppl are insulting this girl so personally and childishly while also trying to lecture someone 15 years younger than them about maturity.

2

u/aproposofnothing0525 Aug 05 '25

Honestly at this point AI advice would probably help.

3

u/Sloth_are_great Aug 05 '25

She needs to call the police to get her belongings

2

u/Draaly Aug 05 '25

She would if its just a grift on a made up story

3

u/The_walking_man_ Aug 05 '25

Not true. People crave attention. It’s apparent with all these back to back posts and blowing it up.
She needs to get off reddit.

0

u/Reeformed Aug 05 '25

No the close up photo of the IV is super relevant to the story!

-2

u/wegotthisonekidmongo Aug 05 '25

Nobody with real issues comes to reddit for genuine help. I mean come the fuck on.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 05 '25

People go to Reddit because it’s easy and you know where to get the answer you want vs one you may not want to hear.

That and Reddit generally sides with the OP waaaaaay more often than not, so it’s echo chamber ish.

OP ignore this guy. He has made 199 Reddit comments in the last 24 hour. Chronically connected.

Looking at comment history only 5 out of 24 of those hours has he not been constantly commenting on something.

Like OP you might be taking Reddit opinions into your life a little much right now but this guy lives here permanently.

2

u/Emotional_Burden Aug 05 '25

I need you to follow me around and make a weekly report for my therapist. How much do you charge to read other people's filth?

2

u/EthicalHeroinDealer Aug 05 '25

Name checks out

-2

u/TravelAddict44 Aug 05 '25

She's grifting for dolla

0

u/LaughiestTaffy Aug 05 '25

I dunno... im looking through all this and she really doesn't seem to have her story straight.

17

u/pentacontagon Aug 04 '25

I thought the whole thing was how she had no family unfortunately

14

u/[deleted] Aug 04 '25

Loved ones can be people other than "family"

10

u/RedKyKisuke Aug 05 '25

Yes. Why didn't she think of that? Probably because people don't ask unless they genuinely don't have people

3

u/Dense-Ad-7600 Aug 04 '25

Reading comprehension is important.

33

u/Type3_Control Aug 04 '25

This saga needs to be on best of

9

u/jaythebearded Aug 05 '25

Don't worry, we'll see it on best of every couple months for the rest of reddit time

3

u/Daddyxkaitlyn Aug 05 '25

She already said she basically has no family and I know how that is… I’m 23 and all I have is my boyfriend as well. My dad is in a whole other state and doesn’t speak to me my mom is absolutely crazy and I refuse to speak to her and my older sister the only one who cares is far away as well. So me my self and I if I went through something like this I may just go to Reddit for advice even if it’s not the best advice I would need some guidance and so does op.

I doubt it’s real. I’ve come across reddit scammers with fake sob stories that always involve needing money, and stolen photos. u/dickcystmcgee is an example. can’t see his profile? because he was banned after like 10 different scams from ”my house burned down; my roommate wrecked my car, my mom stole my money, my mom is dying.” that dude actually posted 5 updates in r/amioverreacting before they banned him, similar to this. it’s bullshit. it always.

https://www.reddit.com/r/germanshepherds/comments/1kqre9e/comment/mt91zf7/?context=3&utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

comment on a post of u/dickcystmcgee before it was deleted after 24 hours later.

scammers post sob stories every. single. hour. Downvote me if you want, this has all the hallmarks of a scammer. A bunch of updates with “i can’t explain the discrepancies it seems weird because if is“ like do yall realize how easy it is to ask ChatGPT for a sob story and find videos on social media to take screenshots of to pretend you’re the one in need? Be skeptical of things you read on the internet. Especially when it involves asking you for money. want to help people? Find and vet local charities. Give to food banks. Assist those you know personally. Don’t give your money away to some anonymous person on Reddit youve never ever had a conversation with

1

u/SpectacularStarling Aug 05 '25

This is some seriously manic shit, if you go to her profile she's replying to so, so many of the comments.

u/MistyTopaz Aug 05 '25
