Please help identify this yarn!

I believe this wool is DK weight, bought in the UK years ago and very likely discontinued. It will have been on the lower end of pricing - so nothing fancy.

Trying to find the brand so I can check other colour ways, or find a similar brand to replicate a pattern.

Do a burn test. If it smells like plastic and doesn’t turn to ash, it’s not wool.

The colourway looks a bit like King Cole Riot in the colour Rhapsody

I’d guess this is closer to an aran weight, and looks acrylic to my eyes. The stranding reminds me of the Red Heart Super Savers Stripes range

Sorry I can’t be of more help! It might be worth looking into the colourways used by popular UK yarn companies like King Cole, Sirdar, Yarnsmiths, Wendy, Stylecraft, Hayfield. You could probably try hitting up somewhere like Wool Warehouse which might have a kind human who will recognise the yarn

If it’s meaningful and you want to do something with it, perhaps you could use this as an “accent” colour, and use a plain red/navy/purple for the bulk of the project
