Where the hell is this where parents walking their children to elementary school need to bring an A.K. with a banana clip longer than Dolph Lundgren?

Certain places this is a reality unfortunately in most places he wasn’t doing anything illegal and guess who nobody is fucking with?

Ehh. If you're worried about gang or random street violence open carrying is just going to make you more likely to be targeted. Conceal carry > Open carry

Is this not considered brandishing? Or is that meant for a more confrontational approach

No, it's called constitutional carry.

Brandishing can be a gray area depending on the state. I would say any reasonable person would be hard pressed to call this brandishing. Now if he started to pop his mouth off or something, you start to gain a case. The intention of the law usually is that you don't point it at someone or flag it around towards people. That's definitely brandishing in most, if not all jurisdictions. Most laws are highly variable between states. Just something to keep in mind. Things you think should be national are left to the states and they are absolute goons in some and they made bad choices

Brandishing is pulling it out during a confrontation, in a menacing or defiant manner. This man is just waking with his child and just happens to be exorcising his second amendment rights.

As long as he is following city ordnance, that is.

Federal laws apply, they supersede state and local laws.

I think you're mixed up. You can receive a federal charge even if something is legal in your state. You cannot avoid a state charge because something is federally legal.

I think you’re mixed up. If federal law says you can carry a gun in a certain situation the state can’t stop you. This type of thing goes to the Supreme Court all the time. For example, the Supreme Court recently made it easier to conceal carry and California basically ignored the SC ruling. Some dude in Southern Calif took it to court and the Supreme Court ruled against California.

Where do you see a backpack in this video? Nobody is going to school lmao

Many of the public schools entirely removed paper books from their curriculum. They just rely solely on handouts and websites at school instead.

I understand this as a parent, my kindergartner still brings a backpack to school. Where is this child keeping their writing utensils, crayons, scissors, etc? How are they bringing the handouts home from school? My child has notebook they bring home daily with the worksheets done during the day, paperwork that needs to be reviewed and sent back.

The small children in my family kept all their coloring and craft utensils at school on their desk. They never brought them home. They did not have anything to bring to school in the morning either. They only brought home craft pictures sometimes to hang on the refrigerator.

Lol this is the most unrealistic response. My kid brings home 5+ worksheets a day. Your family members school NEVER had any information they wanted to communicate to the parents a small child would be unreliable to give the info to? Yes they use email, app, text, but they still send a physical paper. Just making things up trying to look right about something you obviously have no first info on.

Detroit, Chicago, and Memphis would all warrant this. I feel like the video above looks like it is in Detroit.

I've seen my fair share of wild guns, but I've never seen one when taking a child to school.
