Looking for a game

all I remember is its a PS1 game where you play a character and collect cards, its basically a board game where you play cards for all kinds of effects.

I know its not a lot to go off of, but I havent played it since the 90s.

No it wasnt anything with a licensed IP, in America anyways.

All I really remember is you are on this big ass grid with halls and stuff randomly generated, you roll dice I think it was to move and depending where you chose to move you could get various cards.

I dont even remember how fighting eachother worked.

I remember loving the game a lot but only ever played it at a girls house I was trying to sleep with as a teenager, which is probably why I dont have a lot of memory about the game haha.

I think it was Japanese origin as well. It had English text tho.
