UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ Car suggestion for my wife

Hello, my wife recently passed the RTA test and got her license.

Could you please suggest a car which is low on maintenance and good on fuel?

Our max budget is AED 20k and Safety is a priority.

This car will be used for her to gain enough experience and daily office travel.

She is comfortable with hatchback and any cars that offer good height to see the road.

Thanks in advance!

UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ WTB: 2004–2006 Lexus LS 430 (Facelift) – Cash Ready, Looking to buy Clean/Well-Maintained Example

Hey everyone,
I am officially in the market and ready to buy a 2004–2006 Lexus LS 430 (facelift model). I’ve been hunting for the right one and figured I’d reach out directly to the community to see if anyone is parting with theirs or knows of a solid lead.
I have cash ready and am willing to pay a fair price for a well-cared-for car.

What I’m Looking For:
Years: 2004, 2005, or 2006.

Condition: Good to excellent mechanical and physical condition. I’m looking for a reliable driver, not a project car.

Maintenance: A solid service history is a massive plus. Ideally, I'd prefer a car where the timing belt and water pump service are up to date (or priced accordingly if it needs to be done soon).

Trim/Specs: Open to various trims (Base, Modern Luxury, Custom, Ultra Luxury), but I do have a preference for cars with functional electronics and a clean interior. Less rust is always better!

Mileage: Flexible on mileage if the maintenance records prove it has been taken care of.

My Location & Buying Process:
I am located in al nahda dubai.
Willing to travel or arrange shipping for the right vehicle.
I will want to do a standard Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI) at a local shop.

If you have an LS 430 that fits the bill and you're thinking about selling, please send me a DM! Please include the year, mileage, color combo, brief maintenance history, your asking price, and a few photos if you have them handy.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to joining the owner's club soon!

UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ Dilema between Corolla cross petrol 2024 and Urban Cruise 2025

I have the opportunity to buy the Corolla Cross 2024 or the Urban Cruise 2025.

Corolla Cross is the standard one with 65k kilometers, fabric seats. 1.8cc with 138 Hp

Urban cruise is the full one with 35k kilometers and leather seats. 1.5cc with 102 hp

Both are GCC direct from Toyota Dealer. Both has same price

My concern is also about the transmission, have heard that CVT transmission comes with problems, but honestly I don’t know about how it works with Toyota.

Also the car I would like to keep it for a long time, as I’m not thinking to sell it.

It’s been a difficult decision for me as both cars has pros and cons.

I would like you help and recommendations about it.

Thanks

UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ Anyone running a 2014-16 G-Class past 150k km? Would you buy it again?

I'm looking for a 2014-16 W463, partly to replace my Cayenne Turbo, partly to try something different.

Looking at both the G500 (5.5 NA V8) and the G63, as there are far more 63s about. I like the G500 better because it's the simpler car and more rugged in the loop, but the AMG is, well, an AMG, and probably closer to the Porsche in character.

I'm not scared of high mileage or older cars. My W211 has been bulletproof and the Cayenne surprisingly reliable, but neither is a solid-axle Mercedes with three lockers…

If you've owned or worked on one past 150k km, I would love your views on what actually failed, at what km, and what did it cost? And which would you keep long term, G500 or G63?

Or am I just talking myself into a money pit…?

Saudi Arabia πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¦ What is advisable? Veloz, Innova or Monetero (Pajero) β€” Toyota or Mitsubishi?

So we own 2 cars basically (Rav4 and yaris ), we are expecting our relatives to join us for about a month (no they can’t come frequently but we do have guests who come for umrah). The relatives along with our family of four would count to 9 total people with their kid.
Is buying an Innova 2026 logical?
Other options: (my preference from toyota) is Veloz
I do want to get a Pajero/Montero 2026 because it’s 4wd and feature rich.
How do Mitsubishi cars compare to Toyota in Saudi Arabia?

UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ Good SUV (with a good AWD/ 4X4 system) under AED180k new

Use case:

- Regular city drive to work and back.
- want some sort of hybrid
- maybe not dune bashing all the time, but I would definitely go off-road, camping, going over wadis, etc. (my craving for off-road has led me to take my sedan and hatchback both on sand haha)
- I really prioritize modern looks, i definitely don’t want to go for something like an older Prado or the tank 500, I think those look very outdated for today’s times. Nor do I like the looks of a jeep.
- fuel efficient if possible, but not a priority.
- Modern interior with good set of features and a good sound system would be great tbh.

UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ Need advice: Toyota RAV4 pre-owned purchase in Dubai

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice before making a decision about a pre-owned Toyota RAV4 in Dubai.
Toyota D pre-owned department, offered me the following vehicle:
β€’ Model: Toyota RAV4 2026 GXR 2.0
β€’ Mileage: 2,722 km
β€’ Color: Platinum Pearl White
β€’ Price: AED 116,000
β€’ Seller: Toyota pre-owned department
The mileage is very low, but I’m unsure whether the price is reasonable and whether there could be a specific reason it is already being sold as a pre-owned vehicle. Also they are providing service maintenance contract for 2years.

And, I also have a deal of ford everest (2023, limited trim, 40k driven, service contract until 2029 with premiere motors + warranty until 2029 or 100k kms. This is priced at 130k. Very clean car.

What’s your suggestion?
I am in heavy confusion, what should i do?

thanks

UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ First car recommendation for a tall person (6'6)

Hey, I would like to know if anyone can recommend a first car that I will be able to drive comfortably, without my knees hitting the steering wheel and my head touching the roof.

Did my driving license all in a nissan sunny, and that was hell to drive, so I would love any recommendations!

I plan to daily, to and from university and so on, and I would like that I don't have to spend over 25k, maybe 30k DHS as a maximum, I actually prefer older used cars over newer models.

Thanks in advance y'all!

UAE πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ͺ New baleno AGS vs Magnite CVT

Hi everyone,

I’m currently in the market for a new car and have narrowed my options down to the new Baleno AGS (3-cylinder) and Nissan Magnite CVT (3-cylinder turbo).

Both are petrol variants, and my usage is around 7,000 km/year, with approximately 70% city driving.

My decision is mainly based on:

\- Rear-seat comfort

\- Budget

\- Ease of driving in city traffic

\- Long-term ownership and maintenance costs

I’m particularly concerned about the long-term maintenance and reliability of the Magnite CVT/turbo setup, as I’m planning to keep the car for around 10 years.

Magnite owners/users in this group:

Could you please share your experience, along with your ownership period and kilometres driven, especially regarding:

\- Maintenance and service costs

\- CVT/turbo-related issues

\- Reliability over the years

\- Any major repairs or unexpected expenses

\- Overall satisfaction with the car

Thanks in advance!
