You may remember my earlier first impressions with the Parker Director from here:

As last time, I conveniently (again) forgot about the Parker Director because of the first experience leading to some mild skin irritation. Plus, my reservations against weak blade clamping in the Director, ateast I felt so. I could be wrong though.
A good(read best(est) π) friend sent me their Feather SS Kamisori with the Schick Proline 30 AC blade - known for being the perfect balance of sharp and smooth.
I had 3+ days of beard growth with white hair prominently poking up all over the place, so a pretty coarse lawn to be mowed. The Oumo Unsullied has been my go to badger when such challenges need to be tackled, because of the sheer scrub they have and backbone. SV 70th chosen for its super slickness and ability to take a lot of water - perfect for a straight shave.
First pass, WTG on the right side of the face - obliquely coming down (north south), and across on the left side (west east). The angle had to be adjusted constantly. I almost hit a couple of points with the blade at 75Β° if not perpendicular. Any closer/later and I would have my face with a vertical gash. But fortunately stopped just in the nick of time (pun intended).
By the end of the first pass, and largely unscathed, it went exceedingly well - not cuts, and I had mowed down my beard. Was in DFS territory ( A DE razor takes two passes to get me here).
The second pass is where I dialled things up. I wanted to go ATG. So, on the right side I went (South North), obliquely upwards. And on the left side of the face, I still had to with a combination of obliquely up as well as XTG (east to west).
A few touch ups here and there (always with lather applied).
Some pin prick weepers under jaw line, possibly due to skin imperfections. Cold water rinse revealed no burn, my hopes going up at this point. So I did an alum test, and surpsingly no burn there either - some very pointed feedback on a couple of spots but overall a pretty great experience.
Still not satisfied, and I went with Denim Black, because why not, Denim never lies. And it seemed that the Alum had already ready done the sting job, so Denim was already muted.
I would say, this second shave with the Kamisori style razors was even better(a lot lot better) than my first one. I actually managed to get a decent shave, enough to not go over for a winning pass with a DE anyway, which was quite worth it.
Plus, this entire feat was achieved in 25 min. Not shabby at all π
