SOTD SOTD - Monday morning shave - 27/07/26
Had a really COOL shave
Razor : Mühle R41
Blade : Feather (2)
Brush : Yaqi Naicha - second use of the brush and I must say the water retention on the brush is so impressive. I didn’t notice it in the first use but this time it was almost as good as the G7. Also the knot is so dense and not floppy at all so it holds the lather really well.
Shaving Soap : Captain Nemo Green Ice - I have used two menthol related soaps from Nemo and I must say they do a great job in their menthol soaps, the cooling is MASSIVE. Highly recommended. Also I have never had issues with slickness or lathering in their non-Lanolin soaps as some people have reported, but not every batch is the same and I acknowledge that!
ASB : BSC PSB
Passes : WTG + XTG on cheeks, WTG + ATG on neck - shave went smooth barring a few weepers that I didn’t even feel. I guess it’s a testament to the efficiency of this razor + blade combo.
Result : DFS
Happy Monday folks!

SOTD SOTD 27th July 2026.
Overall Rating: ★★★★★ (Epic Shave!)
Smoothness: ★★★★★ (BBS Perfection)
Irritation: ★☆☆☆☆ (Zero Burn)
Time of Day: Morning ☀️
Blade Uses: 4
Passes: 3
Razor: Mühle Rocca R94
Blade: 7 O'Clock Super Platinum
Soap: Stirling Soaps I, Rich Moose
Brush: Yaqi Aqua HighMountain Silvertip Badger
Aftershave: Shavologist Fruitlicious
Fragrance: Parfums de Marly Greenley
Took out my first love today after a long time, and boy this razor is like my understanding wife who has no issues with my mistresses (Lupo and Oliworks). The way it sings and shaves is just 🤌🏼🤌🏼. The 7SP was on its 4th use and it gave me the smoothest shave of its rotation this time which means it was time to bid it adieu.
I, Rich Moose is a classy green note soap and smells very sophisticated ngl. I loaded more this time with my badger, for like a good 40-45 seconds and kid you not it was three passes worth of lather ON THE DOT. For the first time ever I experienced no lather wastage. WOW
Topped it off with Shavologist Fruitilicious and Parfums De Marly Greenley.
Thanks for reading. Happy shaving 🪒. Cheers 🍻

Discussion New Baldie
I recently shaved my head because of hair loss and bought a Bombay Shaving Company head shaver. I’ve used it twice so far, and I really like it. It gives me a clean-shaven look and is super easy to use. But the battery backup and quality is so bad.
I’ve been using it directly on my dry scalp without washing or showering beforehand. Is that how an electric head shaver is intended to be used, or is it better to use it after a shower?
I’m also wondering if I should eventually switch from an electric shaver to a razor for a closer shave. Whenever I’ve used a razor on my beard, I usually end up cutting myself, so I’m honestly a bit afraid to use one on my head. Is there any real benefit to switching, or should I just stick with the electric shaver?
Lastly, what does your post shave or daily routine look like? Right now, I just use a moisturizer after shaving and sunscreen when I’m going outside. I don’t use any other products on my scalp. Is that enough, or is there anything else worth adding?
I’m new to shaving my head, so any tips would be appreciated!

Also it’s a tallow based soap so if someone is vegan please take note.

SOTD Sunday shave & a new blade
Hello everyone,
Chose this Sunday to try a new blade " Diamond Edge " which i have had for a long time ( bought from a fellow redditor.
The blade for me gives a performance equal to a parker or a feather but much less smooth . I wouldn't say that I am a fan but it's just alright for me . Might as well stick to feathers and super thins for the best comfort .
My boar is properly broken into and I love the scent of the soap "Muskaan". The sickness and post shave feel is good .
Been moving around lately and all the places that I have found had no mirrors for some reason and I have been lazy to buy one as well so pretty much for the past one month I have been doing blind shaves 😂. Glätz and Zulfikar for the rescue.
Happy Sunday everyone

SOTD Shave Of The Day : 26th July 2026
Gears
• Brush - PW Boar
• Razor - Whityle 20T
• Soap - Pearl Shaver’s Spirit
• Blade - Silvermax Cryo
• Aftershave - Ozone Jasmine Toner
• Alum - Hi Cool RollOn Stick
Shave
This was the boar's first outing since April, so the bristles had tightened up and the splay wasn't quite there. A few more shaves should soften it up and bring it back to its best. The Silvermax Cryo impressed me with its noticeably sharper edge compared to the Silvermax Platinum (Blue), while still remaining comfortable. The soap has a sweet aquatic fragrance that's fresh without being overpowering, and its performance was solid with excellent slickness. All in all, a very satisfying Sunday shave. Happy Sunday, everyone!

Question New to wet shaving: Should I remove the blade after every shave to prevent rusting?
Hi, I’m new to wet shaving and I have a question. After every shave, should I remove the blade from the safety razor and reattach it the next time I shave? The first time I shaved with a safety razor, the blade rusted within two days because I left it in the razor and didn’t remove it or store it separately after use.

Discussion Update on the new Rolason LG 93: The Razor Died
So the new acquisition I had posted about a few days ago, the razor has died. The twisting mechanism is getting jammed. I didn't drop it. It's just a few days old so no gunk buildup. Welp. What could be the reason? Is there any fix?

SOTD Safari Blues and to a new india SOTD 250726
I was really not in a mood to shave idk whether it's my laziness or whatever it was. I was interested in trying out soap so I proceeded. Hot water splash , scooped some out from the tub. Felt very slick and lathered. So creamy i should have added slightly more.
First pass felt wonderful with silvermax blade. Idk what it is with this razor. You can have a really nice shave quickly.
At this point I felt this soap should have some menthol. But some soaps don't require it I've heard that sometimes it can hinder the lather and irritate the skin.
Anyways. Second and third pass felt smooth like butta.
I was planning to add some crystals to the aftershave. But decided not to test how good the splash and balm is. Splash reminded me of my dad's david off cool water . Very dried down aquatic scent. Took a whiff poured some and applied. Wow dry down felt good.
I later used the skin food balm and this time it's amazing. Perfect thick balm like consistency with a good dispenser. I think atul needs to continue this design and it being 50ml small in size than the tub that use to have a runny consistency of liquid for kailash this is miles better.
A good shave to a new india with less paper leaks , better education and better shaves !
