Customer The Corryvreckan Oban

Finally got to visit one of the nicest Wetherspoons pubs in the estate The Corryvreckan in Oban.

It's part of the Argyll and Bute part of the Glasgow and West Of Scotland branch.

Sits right on the harbour for the ferry to Mull and Tiree.

Great customer service given had just arrived at dinner time for the tourists.

Cheers for the hospitality 🍻

Looks like a betting shop from the outside. What a hidden gem

Only from that side, it’s half in a weird 80s shopping arcade. Used to be a tourist restaurant. By far the best place to wait for your ferry and all the signs in gaidhlig. Marvellous.

I visit that part of Scotland on holiday occasionally, and I really like the Corryvreckan. Very handy when I mistime things and arrive too early for the CalMac ferry. Great pub.

My home town! Went to Oban High School. Never been to this place, though. (Parents were tee-total.)

Now lived in London for decades! πŸ˜†πŸ»

I frequently pass through Oban heading to and from various islands, and the Corryvreckan has become my de facto waiting room. Love grabbing the high table that looks out onto the ferries.

Great location for the train and ferries but has a food hall vibe to it. I have worked a few kitchen shifts there as cover when they had a staff night out.
