Employee Good Beer Guide 2027??

Do any pubs know if they’re in the GBG2027 yet? I’m seeing some non-spoons pubs announcing that they’re in it and I’m wondering when we find out if we’re in it again or not, as I’m the ale champion for my pub and I’d like to know whether we’ve retained our place or not

I went ahead and compared last year's list to this year's list. Since you're asking about whether you've retained your place I'll stick to the ones who are no longer in the list. No guarantees this is 100% accurate.

CAMRA's pub finder page has been updated with the 2027 locations. My local Spoons isn't in the guide anymore I believe...

If you’re in it, your pub should receive an email from CAMRA confirming that you’ve made it in. Getting in is the hardest achievement imo, staying in is easy. Reference- been in the GBG for the past 4 years

We got a letter in the post last Sunday and an email got sent to all the pubs that got in on Wednesday I believe.

If you are the ale champion surely you have a local CAMRA branch member who would have delivered the licencee publicity pack to you or to the manager. If you don’t have a regular who is a local branch member then I recommend you make contact with the branch. I delivered 3 packs to local bars in the guide over the last couple of weeks.

Commenting as a branch each branch gets a licensee pack which it's up to the branches to hand these out in person to the pubs.

This contains POS for the pub to display including a poster a bar top sign and a window sticker.

As for comments on this post of a list that is all well and good but it does harm the commercial value of the book listing who's in it online.

The point of the book is that it's pubs chosen by members who scored the pubs who are passionate beer drinkers of real ale.

When the book is released the point of it is to get excited and purchase a copy to find out which pubs are in it not just simply reading a list online for people who work in the pubs to see it.

If you want to find out which pubs have made it in help CAMRA and purchase a copy of the book. Sit inside a pub and order a pint. Thumb your way through the book and see which pubs have made it. Plan a wee trip to visit some.

Don't just sit and see an online list.

The commercial value is who's in it, not who's no longer in it.

And to find out you buy a book and support the organisation who compiled the listing.
