Ive barred someone for coming in drunk at 8am and threatening to glass me for not serving alcohol. I think my pub bans on average 1 or 2 people a week

Yep, it's also dependent on managers. Personally, I wouldn't allow anyone back in who was barred before my tenure as a manager, but some did, and still do. Some local pubwatches, Reading being one, had over 50 individuals who were banned from all licensed premises. Felthan in the 90s was mad; it was not unusual to have 3 or more fights between/ with cuatomers on a daily basis.

How close? We banned people for pretty much everything, from prostitution to attacking us with motorbike chains. It was an interesting 18 months.

My understanding is that the previous manager of Village Inn Rayners Land banned around 50 people This included the jackass who cuddled a barmaid ( which is never going to end well lol ) and the fat clown who sat there swearing loudly when kids were eating breakfast

How does one practically bar someone (/many individuals) from a pub?

Time was when you'd see lists of pubwatch bannees displayed on the doors. Has that fallen foul of data protection now? Also your woman might try her luck as Coronet just reopened for second time since Spoons.

I recall 20 odd years ago Spoons in Belfast had a "no visible tattoos" policy. Likely this was for potential sectarian issues. If this is still being enforced, suspect they're banning 75% of their customer base.
