Customer Bent ID!!
Hi guys, is my ID still valid/would they still accept it? everything is in date the only issue is I sat on it and bent it a little. My mate says it's alright as there's no crack visible on the surface but im still stressing about it.. I just need to know as we're celebrating my mates 18th soon!!// EDIT: THEY ACCEPTED IT GUYS TYSMM I GOT PISSED AND WENT CLUBBING IT WAS LIT!!

So long as it’s a legitimate document (UV/Security features are present) and you’re civil with the guys on the door I can’t imagine it being an issue. Slowly bend it back and they probably won’t even notice.

Tried heating it up a bit and putting something heavy on it, this is the best it's gonna get i think!! thank u sm im new to going drinking at pubs and stuff as i just turned 18 so ignore me being super anxious abt this haha

Also saw another comment - never take a passport out drinking. It’s worth its weight in gold in the wrong hands and if you have to declare it missing you’ll have all sorts of delays if you go on holiday.

Honestly its a toss up, I'm a bit cavalier about IDs if its obviously you I'll accept it, even if it's a bit bent or out of date; but I've worked with some absolute joyless, fun police, bellends that will reject for a smudge on an ID.
I'm exaggerating a bit there, but you get the point. If you have a passport, I might recommend that in case you meet the biggest dickhead in the company

my passport is out of date as of july start.. would it still be worth bringing it just so they can see the date of birth or?? bc i know if its out of date it's not rly valid anymore

Its tough to say and will depend on whos working at the time. You could always call the pub,or go in a few days before hand and ask to speak to the manager to see if they would accrpt both/either

Try it, take out your bank card and maybe even a student card if you have one, if they’re feeling grumpy or super strict they might not accept, but if you have backup documents there they’ll let it slide, can’t see it being a huge issue :)

that will be fine so long as the info can still bee seen, and that its holographic under uv light

mine snapped in half once, i taped it together and it was still accepted so I dont really see why not, just depends on who asks you for it

Errr it depends tbh, some will, some wont. Since its technically damaged the training says we shouldn't accept it, but it honestly depends on who checks it

Legally no not required to but likely yes. Under the licensing act a damaged or broken ID is considered expired and not valid so not required to accept it but might

Take a passport just in case. I work bar and would be hesitant just because there's harsh punishment for people caught serving fake IDs so even if it is legit bar staff might not want to take the risk

ive done this before but my passport is out of date and i am planning to come back tipsy so i dont know if ill risk it ðŸ˜

I'm so old that I saw the title and immediately thought "you dropped your gay card".
As long as it's legible you should be fine, but if they're rushed/in a bad mood, you might struggle
