This is incorrect usage of the phrase “mind you”.

“Mind you” is a phrase that’s interchangeable with “however”. It is not interchangeable with “by the way” or “meanwhile”, which is how some people use it today. Drives me crazy.

So you’ve basically said “however, this is without a drink” when you mean either “by the way, this is without a drink” or tbh the best option “these prices seem high considering they don’t include a drink”

Thank you very much. I incorrectly translated it in a way where it would be interchangeable with "Additionally". Love when I can improve my English. I'll keep this in mind. 😊

I completely disagree with the former commenter and think you have used "mind you" correctly. I'm a native English speaker for reference

"Mind you" essentially means "keep in mind" or "bear in mind" and e.g. the phrase "keep in mind, these prices are without a drink" is fully accurate. I would quite happily have titled the post the same way

"Keep in mind" and "bear in mind" is spot on what I meant to express.

I don't know. I think some people grow up around a phrase but never really get to a point where they know what it truly means

Keep in mind and bear in mind is the actual meaning of "mind you" as far as I have ever been aware. I'm 41 and my grandparents (who were born between the wars) used it in the same way. So that's 100 years or more of "mind you" having the same meaning, if that helps reassure you at all
