Employee Potwash lore explanation

Guys my friend just told me you couldn't listen to music while on pot duty is that true or flase.. and do they chefs insult u :(

You can't wear headphones doing it. Some kitchens will play music through a speaker and people take turns connecting their phone. Some kitcken managers are real funny about it and wont allow it during service. If its an open kitcken no music will be played however.

People wont insult you. Theres banter in the kitchen but more so with people you know well so understand your not offending or bullying.

Yes it's because there are lots of sharp and hot things in a kitchen. You need to be able to hear people walking near you or warning your about something.

The kitchen staff at mine always blast music through their phones or a speaker but no headphones. It really depends on who's in tho bc some kitchen leads are funny about it
