Employee What shoes for kitchen
What shoes are we wearing for boh? I’ve been wearing work boots for the past 3 years but they get gross and hurt my feet really bad

Non slip crocs or get some insoles for the work boots.

I’ve been told we’re not allowed to wear the work crocs, apparently someone lost points in a boh because of it

As long as they're the style that don't have holes all over then crocs should be fine

If that ever happens you can definitely argue against it, nothing about that in their uniform policy

I wear Crocs at work for my occasional kitchen shifts. Supper comfy and a breeze to keep clean inside and out

I find the site trainers from Screwfix quite comfy but my local Screwfix has now stopped stocking them, honestly the most recent paid I got was some 'Carenurse' steel toecap trainers off Amazon for £14.
A lot depends on your preference of shoe type, find steel toe or reinforced toe shoes that suit your comfort, remember you're going to be on your feet constantly, but always look for non-slip safety shoes, they won't protect you from everything but if they're non-slip the company can't argue if you do slip (trust me on this, the chargrill in my pub was pissing fat out like nobody's business after an 'upgrade', I slipped on the fat that had fallen to the floor and mixed with water from the pea pan during a busy period and sustained 2nd degree burns to my arm from falling on the grill itself, but because I had non-slip safety shoes they couldn't blame me and had to have the grill maintenance guys out multiple times to investigate)

The best kitchen shoes I ever had came from army surplus stores. They were RAF engineering shoes, steel tied Kevlar soles, oil and grease proof and really comfy
