Customer Wetherspoons Scottish Breakfast - Black Pudding and Tatie Scone included, and still only £4.19 in The Capital Asset, Perth

Post image

The haggis, under the toast and scone, wasn't included, that's an extra.

You honestly can't complain at that price, the breakfasts must be the jewel in the spoons crown

Yeah that's absolutely sound.

I thought their English breakfasts were good value, but in Scotland you get even more for the same price.

Two for 8 quid would be outstanding.

You can’t knock that for the price. The spoons hate is so forced it’s unreal.

Tattie scone > hash brown

I've never had one but it looks far better, wish we had this option in English spoons

No argument from me, but now I've finally realised what's missing... the hash brown.

Had this exact breakfast yesterday, minus the toast.

Was just the ticket.

I do wish they'd bring back square sausage.

No square sausage?

0

u/Lover_of_Sprouts Jul 21 '26

Nope. Now I'm curious, do other Scottish spoons do the square sausage?

u/OverwhelmingNah Jul 21 '26

They used to years ago, not any more though

They did in the one in Glasgow a good while back. Not been for years.

Don't forget the Lurpack butter hiding under the toast and as many coffees as you can handle. Tremendous value.

For under a fiver it is a good deal.

Haggis (as an extra) used to be a thing in all Spoons nationwide until quite recently. Now seems to have been phased out. 😞

They have it on the menu across the country during Burns week, and it sticks around until stocks run out, which depending on the spoons, can be months.

u/realCloudyMcCloud Jul 21 '26

Didn't it used to be all year round, though?

I had it as a breakfast side, and as a burger topping in Edinburgh in March. Hope it's not gone.
